Personal Narrative: Moving To A Catholic School
Have you ever made a bad decision before but wouldn’t change it if you could. I have made many mistakes but this instance of damaging property is a bit over the top. I was in 7th grade at st.francis desales middle school. It was a catholic school but it was worse than a inner city school as far as students go. My group of friends and I had done stupid things before but this was scary but thrilling at the same time nothing is more thrilling has ever happened.
Breaking school rules never really crossed my mind or even registered in my mind. Going to a catholic school from an early age was a strange experience for me now that I look back on it me a protestant kid in a almost all catholic school never really crossed my mind. But that's what made me who I am I always felt that since I was non catholic the rules didn't to me so maybe that's

Some of my friends and the kids in our group had started doing things besides cursing which included damaging and taking stuff and hiding it and that leads to our story. It was november of 7th i think we had almost complete influence over all of our small middle school. The 8th only had 2 boys and 13 girls so the 8th grade boys hung with us. It was our normal routine make it through all our classes. Get to gym tear stuff up. Our main objective was to have fun not caring what others thought of us nor the consequences of such actions. Thus started the worse day of our lives we to sum things up shortly we finished saying dirty things to the girls and headed to gym. The gym teacher was yelling at us for a while but soon ran in her office crying. After arguing with me and my group of friends. It

These events include two divorces, five house relocations, and a transfer to a new high school during senior year. I consistently failed assignments and could not stay focused during class as my . Most teenagers would have given up here as the disappointment from both their parents and teachers would have destroyed their hopes for a successful future. “Slow down, future leaders of America at play,” a sign engrained in my memory as a result of the numerous volunteer trips I took to Mountain Mission School. Mountain Mission School (MMS) is a Christian boarding school and home to many children, who come from devastating backgrounds and poverty. Receiving no government funding, Mountain Mission School located in Grundy, Virginia operates solely on private donations and generous charities from churches all over America. In addition to a school, MMS played a key role in my life. Not only was MMS my home but also my church starting from second grade up until I graduated high school.…

I was a percussionist during my high school tenure. As a school musician during my freshman year, I was in the high school band at both Northwest Christian and Dayton Christian. I went to Northwest during the first two quarters of my freshman and the high school band only had one concert, Then, I switched over to Dayton Christian during the last two quarters of my freshman year. The Dayton Christian High School Band was much larger than Northwest’s and performed two concerts, one at the Dayton Christian Cafeteria, and one out at Cedarville University. During my sophomore year at Dayton Christian, I was part of the high school band and the pep band. I was a bass drummer during pep band season; we performed at a stadium in Monroe every home football…

When I started Unity High School I thought that we were going to get a lot of work from my classes, and that work was going to be extremely hard. I also thought that I wasn't going to have any free time to do anything because of that, but it turned out to be wrong because the teachers give us a good amount of work but its not really hard. I thought that making friends in Unity would be hard in a sort of way but it was quit easy because everyone else was trying to make friends too. When I first got to Unity I also thought that there was going to be a few school clubs, but there is a good amount of clubs that students can join if they want to join some type of club. I think as a person I have grown more since first coming to Unity because I…

As I was on my way to the court house I couldn't help but think of the dumb decision I made. I knew the credit I got from my friends wouldn't be worth the consequences but only realized this after the fact. I was only in the court house for about an hour but it felt like four. I was consumed with the feeling of stupidity. I wanted nothing more then to make up my community service hours and forget about the decision I made.…

Catholicism has always been the central religion in my family heritage. Each of my family members, originating back to my great grandmother have been raised Roman Catholic. Both on my mother and father’s sides of the family they practice Catholicism. My entire life has been centralized around faith and believing in one God. I attended Catholic School from 2nd to 12th grade and I gained a large amount from the faith filled environment. However, it was not until I was 15 years old that I became fully involved with my relationship with God and practiced Catholicism properly. The reason I became so involved with my relationship with God was because I attended a Catholic Youth Conference in Atlanta, Georgia called, “Steubenville Catholic Youth…

When I was young I followed my two sisters pretty much anywhere they went to school maybe because it was the best school for me probably cause my parents didn't want to drive us three different places. The first school I went too was immanuel lutheran, and let me tell you something I absolutely hated it. Turns out that when a 8 year old boy is hyper he needs to go to go to a crazy house, or that at least what they thought. Looking back on it i think this school was really bad for me growing up for too big reasons, everyone there was white and everyone was christian. So after going to this just white christian school and having no kids in my neighborhood at the time I wasn't very socially educated. After my third grade year at this school I…

However, my family moved to Tucson, AZ and that is when I went to school for the first time. The transition from being home schooled to a place where I did not know anyone was never racking. I was not around people I knew . Now living in a different state, my mother and grandmother found relief from being able to send us to a better school. While my mom worked at a hospital, my grandmother was our caretaker. My grandmother relied on my aunt whom also lived in the area to drive us to school every morning and pick us up. But occasionally that would be an issue, because my aunt had a job, went to college and had her own children to take care of. One year later, my grandmother became sick and we moved back to Philadelphia because there were better…

“Wrong answer Laurran, do it again,” Mrs. Taylor raised her voice at me. The room went silent. Nobody was talking or moving, to scared to get scolded by Mrs. Taylor. I always wondered who would want to marry her, or how she treated her kids at home. I honestly feel bad for her two kids if she treated her own students this way. I sat there, my eyes tearing up from embarrassment and failure. Mrs. Taylor doesn't understand how hard it is; doing math that is a grade above your level of experience. She doesn’t understand the pressure that is on me from my parents to do good and from the older kids in my class to show them I’m not dumb and I can do this.…

The memory of my first big move is still fresh in my mind. I remember rushing to school, excited to tell my friends the news: I was moving from New Jersey to Phoenix, Arizona! After I brought my friends up to date, I proudly displayed my new disposable camera. Together we took many pictures, some of them meaningful and some comical. There were pictures of myself smiling and giggling with my friends and some of my teacher’s feet. As the moving date was slowly approaching, I began to feel resentment. I started hating the idea of moving to a new unknown place where I would have no friends. As it turned out, making new friends was not as hard as I thought because I was younger and I chose my friends superficially. However, I did have to learn to adapt to a new school and curriculum. I was not…

When I was younger I was small and insecure about what to do. It showed all throughout elementary and through middle school. When I was in elementary everyone would look at me differently and kids would point and laugh sometimes and it was a really bad time growing up. I can remember one day back in second grade, I decided to play kickball at lunch and it was my turn to kick, so I get up to kick and the kid rolling to me decide to roll it fast so I will miss and I did, but I don’t say anything to the kid I just get ready for the next one he does it again, so out of pure anger I storm out to where he was ready to punch him and one of his buddies out of nowhere comes running from first and knocks me down and the kid jumps on me and punches me right in the nose not noticing the blood running down my face I…
