Kansas is oddly similar to Nebraska in the sense that it is all corn and wheat fields. The only difference between them is the things to do. Being near a military base, there was always a picnic filled with chuckles from family and friends, or a lake party. Even getting together to put a slab of meat on the grill for a BBQ was never out of the ordinary. It was easy to find something fun to do, without causing trouble. It's where they can drive three hours to see one half of the family, and then fly to the other side of the country to see the other half.
