A couple weeks went by and I practiced and perfected 3 out of 4 pieces. Then, came the struggle. I had finally reached the last piece, Toccata, and this piece was extremely difficult. I tried everything from YouTube videos to practicing for 2 hours straight, but nothing worked. Every time I played, the rhythms and notes got scrambled, my bow was squeaky, and my notes were out of tune. I was close to giving up, thinking that I would fail and never master the piece. I had tried learning this piece on my own, but I never went and asked for help from someone else. That day I went to my orchestra director and asked her if she could help me. She told me that she would have to try and find a time to help, because she had a busy schedule. I was determined to get the help and I even skipped my own activities to fit in time for this. In the end she helped me fix my bow grip, and intonation. She was extremely kind, and I always treated her with respect, because I knew that she was taking time to help me.
