Personal Narrative: My Diary Of Monticello
Journal
Day 1- I searched Monticello on the internet to see how it looked. I also started thinking of ways of how I was going to make a model of this.

Day 2- I looked up videos on “Youtube” to try to get ideas on how to make the model and what material to use to make it. I finally decided to make it out of foam board because it was an easy and sturdy material to make my model out of.

Day 3- My mom took me to Hobby Lobby to go buy some foam board, some fake grass, and some popsicle sticks. When I got home I printed out a blueprint of Monticello and decided I would multiply each “wall” by three so it would be easier to cut pieces of foam board.

Day 4- I cut out the outside walls of foam board using an X-ACTO knife. I also started painting the foam board pieces in a brick pattern and used red water color paint to color the “bricks” redish. For the green house, I

Some of them did not go together good so I had to make some ajustments like making a piece bigger or smaller. Once I had done that, I glued all the pieces together.

Day 6- I traced the top of my model (with the help of my mom), and used that as a template to cut out the roof for my model. After that, I glued the roof on to the top of my model. My mom took me to Walmart to go buy a foam ball and some glue. When I got home, I cut the foam ball in half and glued it on the top of my roof. I also out some pieces to act as slanted roofs and glued those on to my roof. After that I cut out some triangle shaped pieces to go in front of the slanted roofs.

Day 7- I cut out some rectangular shaped pieces to act as the porches. After that, I drew on a stone/brick pattern on to them and colored them with grey water color paint. I then glued those pieces on to my board. I also made some pillars by cutting thin pieces of foam board and then glued those on to the

The main highlight of the LEGO Trolls' Mountain Fortress is the fortress itself. It can be built in three different ways and there are detailed instructions for each of those methods. The standard method includes a large fortress wall. The wall extends outward in length and has a lot of different barriers that the Trolls can defend. The centerpiece of this design is a high tower that is placed in the center of the fortress. The second design instructions that are provided include a standard castle. The LEGO walls are built up high to create a huge castle with various rooms, balconies, and interactive parts that builders can create.…

All the materials you will need are very simple house hold; scissors, balloon, vinegar, baking soda, rubber band, empty bottle, clear wrap, straight pin, marker, thin piece of wood, drinking straws, and duct tape. One of the first steps is to make the rocket fuel the key component in this rocket. I began with placing ¼ or 1/3 of vinegar in a normal size bottle, after that you will make the baking soda bomb. You take a piece of clear wrap and place a good amount of baking soda in a square piece wrap up all the corners and wrap it up tight so it won’t come undone on accident, place it to the side for later use. You also need to a balloon and marker and straight pin for the next part. You will take the balloon and cut off a part where it will fit over the mouth of the bottle easily. Then take your marker and mark a spot where it is directly in the middle of the top and then use your straight pin and poke a hole in the top. Once this is all prepared lay the balloon and a rubber band over to the side separately. Once everything is ready you need to build a launcher, you can use a thin piece of wood lay on the ground at a 45 degree angle. You should attach a drinking straw on to the bottle to hold it in to place on the wood. After all is in place put the Baking soda bomb in to the bottle of vinegar and quickly put the balloon and rubber band on the bottle. Then place it on the piece of wood, you will only have a few seconds to do this entire thing so act fast. When you do this project you will need to be very careful and work fast because if you don’t watch out it will go off in your hands or worse your face. Be careful to follow it all very closely or it all could go…

After your base is finished you will start to create you coils, to do this take a ball of clay and roll it on a table until the coil is half of an inch thick then rough the edge of your base by making scratches with a knife or hook the do the same thing to the bottom of the coil then add slip to the coil and base and mold your first coil onto the base. Then add your second, third, so on by repeating the same processes. Once your project has reached it's desired height it's time to shape the walls by smoothing the coil with a sponge or your fingers once it is smooth you can leave it as it is on create a pattern. I used cardboard because I wanted to be able to poke into it to try and make contour lines and for the textured surface. I started out with drawing in pencil and I had originally planned on using oil pastels and crayons, but they weren’t showing up quite the way I wanted them to so I used oil paints instead. After drawing, I used a pencil to poke holes in the outlines of the wave, cloud, trunk of the palm tree, and the circle of the sun. Initially, I was only going to poke the holes around the wave, but in order to give the composition more balance i did it with the other major objects as well. After outlining everything, I began to paint. I used my finger for a lot of the blending and I really enjoyed how easily the oil paints spread and blended…

In 1752 I was a seventeen year old destitute living in Scotland, Ireland. I had no real skill-trade or education, but with high ambitions to learn and become a collective dependant I would earn a stable lively-hood in one of the New World colonies. I suffered losses of loved who fell sick and died with only a few remaining that were as impoverished as myself. I feared there would be no prospect of a better life in Scotland and contracted myself as an indentured servant for passage to the New World colonies. Along with many others I boarded a New World merchant ship that specialized in the trade of textiles and clothing. In exchange for travel, food, and decent health, I was sold for profit to proprietors in the New World. The voyage to New…

The night of April, 18, 1775 I was abruptly woken up by some random man running through Boston yelling “The British are coming, the British are coming!” I was not very happy of getting less than a hour of sleep. This weird man came through around 10:30 PM and woke everyone in the town from there sleep. At first when I heard him say that phase I did not know what he meant by it. I then gathered with my neighbors outside and was told if I wanted to fight the British I had to sign my name on the books in the city hall later that evening. When I went to that meeting later that night they told me to go home get a pound of bread a flask of water and my gun, and to also get a little rest and when the drums sound go stand on the green. So I went home and rested a little and then said my goodbyes to little Johnny and Benjamin. Until we all heard the drums. I then went with my…
