It helped me get a better understanding of the devastation that rain can do to an animal’s habitat and just too wild life, in general. It forces animals to start over and rebuild what they once had which could be a never ending process if it continues to rain. It made me think about the struggles that the people had to go through when we were not as modernized as we are now, like the houses we have now to keep ourselves warm during days like this. This trip to the American River was more of an eye opener to me to know that in a blink of an eye your living circumstance can change. That is why it’s key to build on the things you have now before they all get washed away. Going on this walk also showed me that changes are necessary to succeed sometimes. When you have those changes within your life it can lead you to bigger and better things, whether you’re a human being or an
