My dad was born in Alaska. He wanted to take me on a trip but he stopped planning. Ever since, I have wanted to go to Alaska. If I could go anywhere in the world I would go to Alaska, because I want to go to Juneau, Eat a Giant crab, and see where my dad was born.
My dad says that Juneau is a quiet place but with lots of people. It is the capital of Alaska. I want to learn the history of Alaska. Finally I would like to see the temperature.
I would like to eat a giant crab. They are huge and filling. The claws are supposedly bigger than my hands(they are). They also taste better, that is what my dad says.
Finally, I want to see where my father was birthed. He says that where he was born was very historic. He said he was born near Fort

The name “Alaska” is of Native American origin, meaning “Great Land.” Alaska Young is without a doubt the most complex character in the book. The name Alaska fits her because there is so much about her and to figure out, like a great land. "Little kids can dial 911. They do it all the time. Give me the wine," she said, deadpan and emotionless.” (Green 150). This shows that she is a very complicated person. Alaska is submersed in Guilt, and blame because of her mother’s death. Because of this, Alaska becomes obsessed with the polarity of death and life. She makes constant jokes about dying and fuels her self-destruction with things such as drinking and smoking. She is what you call a hot mess. “She said, "It's not life or death, the labyrinth."…

I find inspiration in the ordinary; I love to travel and see new things, in this case this is where I found my inspiration. Along my travels to Whistler Mountain in previous winters I saw a portion of land that was clear-cut, but one tree stood alone covered in snow. This piece…

I didn’t know heartbreak until June 28, when my dad told me that he had stage 4 cancer. I didn’t know fear until August 13, when I found out that he would have to undergo radiation to combat a tumor in his brain.
