Personal Narrative: My Father's Involvement With The Teamster Family

Being a part of Teamster household means more than our father just being a member of the union. It means that my family and I are able to have a sense of stability. Stability to me means that my father is able to work without the loss of any of basic worker rights. Knowing that my father’s involvement with the Teamsters allows my family to rest easy. We are able to live with a sense of security knowing my family is provided with a wonderful healthcare program, a retirement plan for my father, and most importantly a sense of job stability. As I prepare for my second year of college, I look back at the struggles my family experienced.
