Personal Narrative: My First Date
My First Date Dax and I have been communicating for the past few months and he finally asked me to dine with him on February 14th. It was my first date and I can clearly recall the details of our exquisite night from the beginning to the end. He picked me up at home with his Subaru Forester exactly 6pm; dressed in a red long sleeved plaid shirt with black jeans and sneakers while I felt comfortable in a black and white leopard mini dress with black stockings, red heels and red accessories. At this moment, I did not have an idea where we were going and he kept quiet about it which made me more excited. We drove for approximately one hour and twenty minutes before we eventually arrived at our destination. He got out and opened the door for me; he then held my hands and walked me to the entrance. …show more content…
It was the first time I witnessed such beauty in one place; the Restaurant is on the southern coast of the island on one of the most eloquent beach. The water was very calm and surreal in the way it reflected the moon; it was indeed a lovely night. The waitress placed us on a table under a small gazebo in the middle; they decorated the table with white cloth and red table mats with a bouquet of flowers in the middle and candles on both sides. The chairs were also decorated in white cloth and red ribbons tied around them. The menu was fixed due to Valentine’s Day celebration. We skipped the starters and jump straight to the main course. He had Creole chicken with seasoned potatoes and vegetables while I had grilled fish with rice and vegetables. He washed that down with a beer while I had a fruit punch. We shared a chocolate cake with vanilla ice-cream followed by a glass of wine to toast to our first of many

As my family and I stepped d in, we were greeted and welcomed with loud beautiful music, which older families wouldn’t enjoy. I stood head to toe with the overwhelming menu of countless different meal choices. It was nicely dressed in a antique wrap of design around the edges. Each menu choice was separated in categories labeled with elegant and beautiful text, which made me love this place with more passion. I didn’t have one thought of my first choice of a meal for the night. To get saved from the black hole of the Riscky's menu was the generous waiter dressed in a formal manner. She walked up to our smooth wood grain finish table and greeted us with pure sincere gratitude knowing that we didn’t have one clue of what to order. She explained her favorite dish on the menu and I was absolutely certain It was soon to be my favorite as well.…

When I was 17 it was 1995, I went on my first real date. We were going to see First Knight. The boy in question was the friend of a friend and I had only ever talked to him on the phone. He said he would pick me up at 7 and we would catch a movie. So far so good. 7 rolls around and he isn't there, he calls and says his Dad is running late so they won't be there till 8. I didn't realize his Dad was driving but whatever, I am withholding judgment. 8:30 they show up and he knocks on my door and I go out to join him. He leans in for a kiss and I lean very far back and awkwardly stick out my hand to shake his hand. He doesn't act like he knows what to do next and he is just staring at his feet and his Dad is staring at us and time just crawls. We finally just painfully walk to the car. It is not immediately apparent where we are going to be sitting. Now, this dude's Dad was HUGE. Not just his weight, but his entire freaking frame. He barely fits in his car. He has the driver's seat all the way back and in the front seat next to him is a cage of living breathing birds. The back seat is really only half a back seat because his Dad is filling so much of the car. I look at my date and look at the car. My date seems to have come to the same realization that there is really only one seat. I squeeze into the backseat while my date squeezes into the front seat with a bird…

The best part of the day had arrived, dinner. We had a reservation at the pier in which we were going to eat dinner. We looked like a whole bunch of bees ready to attack. The food was there. Right in front of our noses. We could feel the presence of the warmth coming from the food. The smell was just making our mouths water and our tummies rumble. We looked at each other with such eagerness to have some of those explicit desserts in our mouths. There we were, with our food served and ready to attack. I knew that when I was done with this food there was no longer going to be any space for the dessert. Overall the food was amazing and the experience as well.…
