I sat next to you on the bus yesterday,” I said. “Hello, my name is Catherine,” she said. I offered her a walk around the Reflecting Pool and started talking about school and all sorts of topics. I really liked her personality and wanted to ask her on a date after talking to her for two hours. “Catherine, would you like to go on a date this week,” I asked nervously. “Sure, how about Monday around noon near the Washington Monument,” Catherine proposed. “That will be wonderful, see you Monday,” I said. We parted ways and I headed home. I got home at 2:30pm, just in time for my family gathering. I kept fidgeting with my phone and didn’t bother to listen to what my family was saying during the gathering. All I could think about right now was Catherine. Sunday flew by so quickly it was a blur. Monday finally arrived and I couldn’t wait to see Catherine. I headed out the door and drove to the Washington Monument. I walked up the grassy green hill and spotted Catherine reading His Last Bow.
