Slimy, yellow-orange, half-eaten peaches drenched the bottom half of my body and I froze. First of all, I did not fully comprehend what actually just happened and secondly, I could not believe that it happened all over me! Ms. Rubright quickly ran over to us in the line and hurriedly had everyone move away from the ‘puking zone.’ I was in shock and couldn't move. Trying to comprehend what had just happened - I just stood there in a complete stupor. I remember seeing my friend, Isabel, and her cherubic cheeks with tears running down her face. I later found out that Matt, being sick, reminded her when she lost her mother the year before to cancer and vomit reminded her of how sick her mother was right before she passed away. Witnessing her and other classmates cry brought me to tears. After a long, smelly walk down to the nurse’s office, Matt and I both ended up going home that day. Poor Matt for being sick with the stomach flu and me for smelling like vomit. Sadly enough, through out the years Matt and I ended up not being much of friends, perhaps it was the rough start of him throwing his breakfast up on me. Forming a friendship with the kid who lost his breakfast all over you... yeah, that's not going to happen
