Personal Narrative: My First Flood In Louisiana

In 1998 , at the restaurant of world famous burger in Louisiana , my family and I were eating the best burger and the best French fries and suddenly for 30 minutes past , and this man walked in the restaurant and said “ Turn on the TV to the news “ . The manager turned on the TV to the news , and they were saying “ People , there is a chance , that a flood is going to happen , in thirty minutes , be prepared “ . People in Louisiana were shocked , also in the restaurant , people were flipping out and so was I . We headed out of the restaurant and my father headed to the wood store to go get some wood to cover the doors and windows , and my mother headed went to the grocery store to get food in case we get hungry and water in less we get thirsty , in medicine just in case my family gets really sick , and a big first aide kit , just in case , one of my family members get injured. It was twenty minutes until the flood started , we had to get my grandparents from there house and we went back to our house Andersen we went back to our house , it was already too late , it had already flood in the house , and destroyed the windows , and the water was in the house , so we had to go somewhere but we didn't know where until my father said “ we just need to go to high lands , and he thought of the beach house we have but not even near a beach which is funny , but to a beach house .

We only had five minutes , it was almost getting to us , we arrived to the beach house , my father started putting the wood on the windows and suddenly we hear my dad fall of the ladder , he had got hurt , it look like he had twisted his ankle , and two minutes were left , we had to finish putting the wood on the doors and windows , and after that all we did was pray and wait .
