Personal Narrative: My Interest In Marine Biology

One of the professions I have a lot of interest in would be marine biology. I took the high school course on it last year and I had a lot of fun in the class. The critters were adorable and I was able to play with all of them, whenever I wanted. My favorite, honestly, would have to be the brittle sea star. It was so cool!

Marine animals have always been an important thing to me and I love seeing them and I want to play with them all of the time. My teacher, Mr. Murray, told me that he thinks I would make a wonderful science teacher and that I would be a really good person to work with high school kids. He is the teacher that I talked to the most and he believed in me more than anyone else and he helped me see I could have a future.
Marine biology is something that has always interested me and I have thought about being a marine biologist before but I never put a lot of thought into it. When I took the class with this teacher, it was the best class I had ever taken. He included all of us in the labs and was really cool and would talk to us about anything. I want to be a marine biologist because I think marine animals are the coolest things ever!
