Personal Narrative: My Interest In The Discovery Program

I am interested in the discovery program because travelling has always been very dear to me as it allows me to be in unfamiliar situations and approach situations differently. It also alows to to expand my general understanding and reasoning where i can more accurately formed opinions on domestic and international events because I have a bigger piece of the story then just what the media portrays. for example when I was in the sixth grade my family travelled to Egypt and at first I was scared of all the guards patrolling the citie because i have never seen them being portraied as friendly, however I quickly learned how much they cared for the safety of the citzens and were always up for a quick chat. While in Egypt,we also consumed much more
tea then we ever would have at home, because in every citie we visited, hot tea was the primary beverage when I left I had a favorite tea, camommile, and it is still my favorite. More recently I visited the Netherlands this summer, it was such a beautiful city I wanted to call my parents and ask them if I could stay for the whole year rather then that I simply began to learn Dutch as soon as I returned so I would be prepared for when I finally can live there, infact, if you look in my phone you would see my keyboard is set to three different langueages spanish, dutch, and, english because I realized that when you learn a new language, not only do you expland the people you can connect with but you also expand your mind by forcing it to think differently to speak in a forgein langueage. . I genuenly enjoy taveling and all the knowlege that comes with it and each trip i have take effects my life forever.
