Personal Narrative: My Most Influential Role Model
All my life I have looked up to strong leaders. These people included family members, friends, celebrities, leaders in my church, and other various characters in my life. Now I strive to be a leader that others can look up to. I want people to know they can trust me to give them the best advice that I have. I want to direct people towards
God in all aspects of life. My personal faith and beliefs will contribute to Liberty’s mission to develop Christ centered leaders by being there for others in their growth towards Christ, and to step up as a leader myself when it is needed.
My most influential role model would be my father. He has raised me to trust
God with everything in my life. Even when life seems to be going in a negative
direction, he keeps us positive, and reminding my siblings and I, that God has bigger plans for us.
I have also gone through various trials that most people would consider difficult, and they are. But with God I have, and will continue to make it through them. Because of this mindset, I am able to stay positive and encourage others when they are going through difficult times. I also strive to understand people. And when I at least have some understanding of the person, I use this information to see the best way to help them. Prayer is also a big part of my life. Without it I would be lost, and with it I become a positive role model that can lead. Someone people can come to. This also allows me to take part in situations I would otherwise be too scared to be a part of. Like joining my church’s Christmas play for example.
