At first glance, Lampasas looks to be a small-town with nothing to do. Living in Lampasas, it is either a huge challenge to be accepted or one of those things that just happens. In Lampasas, there aren't many places to eat, a pool or two, and just enough gas stations to cover the entire map of Lampasas. Living here as a teenager can seem to be tougher than most towns. It always feels as if there is nothing to do on the weekends and the only place to have coffee is at the one coffee shop in town that closes the same time the high school lets out. But, there is one thing that brings everyone in town together: Friday night football games at Badger Stadium. …show more content…
I participate in the cheerleading program, the National Honors Society, I am a student council representative, I run track, and I also try to get as many volunteer hours as possible. I don’t know if I pursue the typical “high schoolers” life, but I always strive for excellence in all that I do. Going to college was always a part of the game plan. Never once was I questioning whether to go or seeking out another option for after high school. With both my parents and myself holding such high standards for me, it was a requirement to make goals in order to have something to reach for and to accomplish. I feel that since I am so involved with extracurricular activities, that it will make success more of an open opportunity for me in the future.
