Mr. Greger, who kids called “The Blob” when he wasn’t looking, was waddling around inspecting lay-ups. He worked for Denver Middle school #123 and hated it. As he was waddling, the kids could hear his stomach sloshing around and at the same time see it jiggle. It was hard to suppress a laugh. He would occasionally stop to criticize kid’s form but he wouldn’t make a big deal about it. That is, until he stopped at a certain group, Carrie and Teddy’s group. They didn’t notice that he was watching them until he boomed, “What are you doing Carrie? That’s all wrong! You need to do it like this!”…
Have you ever felt the need to improve your life? I joined the cross country team in sixth grade to do just that. Cross country requires tremendous amounts of hard work, dedication, and never giving up to succeed in.…
As far as I can remember I might have been about 4 or 5 at the time and my mother registered us I mean herself and me in a gym for ding exercises in different sport majors . My mother had aerobic class and I joined gymnastic class with other girls in my age and I had a nice dress for it with a pale pink color with an veil skirt. I had a friend there who her name is Mozhde and our characters were really far from each other . We were always fighting together because of her arrogance . Although I was totally kind and humble she was proud and rough.…

It was the first day of school in the ninth grade. Conner was a trouble maker, made bad grades, and skipped school. Then, one day he decided to go to school. Conner went to the principal’s office to ask how many classes he would have to be passing to play baseball. Principal…
Most people say cheerleading is not a sport, but to me it is. It all began when I was four years old and my mom signed me up to cheer for the Harrisburg Packers. I was nervous at first, but then it turned out to be a lot of fun. Everyone on the team was tall except for me and one other girl. Her name was Tatum. The first thing I thought was that I was going to get picked on by all the other girls because I was so little and shy, but it turned out to be totally different.…
I had been overweight since my early teens, as time passed it continued to worsen. at the age of 15 I was on the brink of obesity; I had to decide a change in my life. My life had consisted of school and video games; these combined had led me to an unhealthy lifestyle. I had dedicated years into my video game hobby, but this was the least active of my time. My hobby had to go, a new hobby had emerged: bodybuilding. Bodybuilding had given me a satisfaction that my previous hobby did not give, the satisfaction of working; that patience and efforts lead to greater satisfaction than momentary things like video…

“TWEEEEEEEET!!” The whistle blew letting us kids now it was time to go back to our classrooms. I have gotten done many times before and I always knew what I was doing. I climbed through the hexagon hole at the top and hung there. Then I started climbing down like how you would on the monkey bars. I was still a ways at the top when suddenly my left arm gave out so I was only hanging there with my right arm. but when I tried to swing my left arm back up my right arm let go.…
There was a boy. The boys name was Sammy. Sammy was very athletic and loved to play sports. His favorite sport to play was basketball. Sammy played point guard on the basketball team. Sammy was a ball hog, he didn’t like to pass he would shoot the ball every time he got it. He also preferred to not play defense. His coach was very strict with the team except Sammy. So one day in the hallways at school the kids on Sammy’s basketball team decided to beat him up so he couldn’t play that Fridays game. Sammy was out for Friday’s game and it was against their rivals. Sammy sat on the bench that night and watched as their rivals wrecked his team by 50. Although it was a tough loss for Sammy and his team they learned from it. 1 year later, Sammy…
I started wrestling in in high school when I was a junior at the age of sixteen. I got in to wrestling when I left boxing. I wanted to peruse a new sport in my high school. Wrestling had changed my life from being a person that was always in short temper verses a person that would always respect his opponent. Wrestling to some was just a sport but to me it was my passion. A major change in my life was to wrestle after a fibula bone fracture. Because I had lost my position due to a injury.…
Two days. Two days was how long the break between training for track, and training for cross country started. As a team our goal was to have the top 12 guys run 500 miles each, which at the time seemed to be an unreasonable goal. However Coach Hampton was confident that this was a reachable goal and encouraged not only the top 12 guys, but the the JV guys as well, to join in and train with the top 12.This was the summer of 2016, I had just had track state and made it to finals for the 4x8 only to get my relay disqualified because I cut into the inside lanes of the track before the cut off line. This had been our goal all season, make it to state, get to finals, and see what happens. Causing my relay to get disqualified is one my worst moments…
I’m glad I was able to push myself to get to that point! It was my mission to change everything about me, that I could change with exercise. Whenever I started talking to people about it, they talked as though it was impossible to do. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I knew that couldn’t be right! That caused me to research my theory, to see if it was true. Once I was able to find information that supported my theory, I started to create a plan to get my desired result. I stood in the mirror and looked at all the things about me, that I felt like I could change.…
Prior to my interview with Bryce Dreager, I thought that the career in personal training seemed fun and something of my interest. Also, I thought it would be a career where I would at least need my bachelors in science for exercise and wellness. I would really love a job where I could be comfortable and love what I do at the same time and personal training sounded like the perfect fit. Most importantly, I made the assumption that I would have to learn a lot about personal training on my own to be really good at it.…
My dream is to be an athletic trainer, coach, or having something to do with staying close to sports. In order to follow my dream, I would need to visit some place that would allow me to experience a career that has to do with sports. That’s why with the ticket I am holding in my hand, I would be able to get admitted into the locker room area where I can see coaches as well as trainers do their jobs.…
