Ever since a young age I found it interesting the way people think and react. As a child I took interest in helping those that were visibly sad but even at a young age I had a remarkable amount of emotional intelligence. Seeing people, their facial expressions, and their tone of voice I could pick up on the “energy” and understood how they were feeling. Growing up it has not only developed a sense of compassion but it helps me out in tough situations. Now I have grown fond of Psychology, wanting to help those and make my mark in the Psychology community.

Suffering two years of depression due to transition, anxiety, and the stress of my sophomore year of high school. My high school is huge, with a student enrollment of three thousand, my transition year of high school was very rough on me both mentally and academically. Then playing club ice hockey I suffered a bad concussion, and missed about a month of school. I fell drastically behind, it felt impossible to work my way back. Unfortunately I didn’t come out of sophomore year with a success story but with depression and ok to bad grades. Junior year on the other hand I still was cleared of my concussion but the effects of the concussion were still being felt. had trouble concentrating and reading. It took me a month to get use to these difficulties but I pushed through it and started seeing good results and
