Personal Narrative: My Religion Vs. Baptism
I start reading the chapters of the book (Reasons To Believe) and I found "Baptism" term, which is interesting to know the meaning of it. It means they turned from old life of sin and guilt to a new life, so they be as a baby. I totally agree with this point because I have the rituals that similar to baptism, which is Hajj. Both the Hajj and baptism give an overall sense of purpose. It is depend on personal experience of the traditions, then, they returned like a newborn's without sins. In addition, the book discuss the ritual circumcision, however, I have the same these ritual in my religion. According to my religion, the circumcision of a male is a highly recommended act. It is not an obligation. The ruling is the same whether the male is
a child or an adult. "Wherever we go, we are in God's presence and in His world." (p.10). When I grew up and became older, I realized exactly this argument that God always with us, even in the retreats, He hears us, sees us, and He knows what we think. My faith of Him and He is the only refuge if there is nobody around me. I always read the articles and books that support my beliefs. The most important book that I read daily is the Quran, which is the strongest evidence about the existence of God. Furthermore, faith and reason have each been considered to be sources for religious belief. Some Christians believed that faith and reason are always in conflict, but the truth is that faith and reason work together to increase the faith of our Creator. Moral argument, one of the facts that indicate the presence of God. I disagree on this point because the existence of God is not based on emotions, morals, or perceived visual things and that God’s presence outside of subjectivity. Creator of the universe is more than just ethics and feelings. That God is unimaginable in any other way, which is an object of something bigger than can be imagined.
