I remember as if it were yesterday, i answered my phone and all i could hear was breathing on the other side. I said hello about five or six times until my mom had the courage to let out the worst news i could ever receive. She stated my grandpa was very ill and terminal at the point. Her voice was so shakey and raspy that i then knew it was necessary to hurry up and get to El Paso. As we started our trip the sky was gray and cloudy, as tho god had calmed everything down for my grandpa. My grandpa whose name was Armando Uranga was a very strong and loving man. He always smelled like three flowers and always wore his button up shirts with his cowboy hat. While driving for the next eight hrs my siblings and i just remeneced on our great memories of living and growing up in our grandparents home. Nothing but laughs and cries for hours. Walking into the room and seeing our hero, our backbone just lying there with no emotion broke my heart so much i imidiately burt into tears and walked up to my grandpa to give him the biggest hug in the world. I told my grandfather i loved him so much and thanked him for the life he gave me. As we stood there talking to him and assuring him everything would be fine, i remember his last tear run down from his right eye. It was as tho he was waiting for us to get here because as soon as we said our goodbyes my grandfather took his last
