Personal Narrative: My Trip To The Art Museum
When I went to the art museum, I had no idea that I would come into contact with one of my favorite Impressionists artists. I spent hours walking through the museum, gallery after gallery. Each piece was beautifully created. I saw portraits, prints, sculptures, all eccentric in their own way. My family, quickly paced, moved through the maze of colors with lightning speed. As for me, each one had an intricate story and detail that I was determined to learn. Turning the corner, I stopped in my tracks. My eyes grew wide and my heart nearly leapt from my chest. Shining in an outline as bright and gold as the sun, the “Charing Cross Bridge” by Claude Monet brought a smile to my heart. The swirling curealian and pink brought me to another world,

For my visual analysis assignment I chose to go visit the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. It has been an extremely long time since I last visited a museum. I took my twelve year old son with me to explore what the museum had to offer. We found the art to be very interesting, educational and unique. There were so many beautiful pieces throughout the museum that it was difficult trying to decide which one I wanted to base my visual analysis on.…

I parked my car on Devon Avenue in front of Shore Galleries and took a quick glance through the car window. Shore Galleries sign was attached to the building above the main entrance and windows were completely tinted. Shore Galleries was located next to a dry cleaning business. Unless you knew the nature of business of Shore Galleries, not many people would realize that Shore Galleries is a firearms store with an indoor gun range. I sat in my car for a few minutes to clear my head and thought about things that I should pay a closer attention to once I get inside.…

As I arrived at the Newark Museum of Art, I noticed that the outside of the Museum looked like a house, which gave me the feeling of it being a very welcoming place. It really was, especially the touring guide, who was very nice to our group , and who really seemed very passionate about Art. At first, the inside of the museum looked very small, and that was because the waiting room at the beginning was not as big as I thought it would be, and there was not really much to look at around that area. Shortly after, we started our tour up some stairs, and through the halls, and I noticed some construction going on around the beginning of the tour. Even though it was a little distracting because of the noise, the information that the tour guide was narrating was far more interesting, especially the way she was narrating it, with such excitement and passion in her words. The colorful painting all over the halls, and up and down the stairs really made my imagination, and art critique expand for that hour and half tour.…

I really like that you focused on impressionism in your paragraph. I was really impressed and inspired by how it came to be. A group of artists that were rejected time aft time by the Salon, which was the by all to end all art show of the time, banded together in a way and produced their own version of art and became huge movement an respected art style. Art to me is all about self-expression, and I can’t think of a better part of one’s self to express than the ability to handle setbacks gracefully. These inspiring young artists took rejection and turned it into something beautiful and creative, rather than let it defeat them. I really admire that.…

In eighth grade, the 2018 graduates including me visited Washington D.C. After months of preparing we finally landed in the Capitol. Truth be told I wasn’t in a really great mood, before I leaving I had an allergic reaction to a spray of Axe. Many events happened during the trip, but the most memorable event was viewing the Vietnam Memorial. The two 250 feet long obsidian colored walls stood at eight inches and met at at their highest point 10 feet.…

I went to the North Carolina Museum of Art on April 8th, a beautiful and sunny day. Being around the museum conjured a sense of nostalgia to my middle school days when I took a field trip to the museum. Since that last visit I have gained a better understanding about art and what goes into every piece of work. I have also gained more experience, back then I did not know how to shade properly and did not know a thing about composition. Now, I have a greater appreciation for every stroke of a brush and color applied. The reason I chose the North Carolina Museum of Art was solely to re-experience the art with my new artistic eye. While walking through the museum, I searched for that one piece of art that would catch my eye and inspire me to talk…

The temple of art residing over the city of Los Angeles has been called “pretencioso” by my family members. I have a dissenting opinion: scattered throughout the galleries of The J. Paul Getty Museum are childhood memories and Gainsborough’s that belong only to me, despite the fact they are viewed by hundreds daily. My affection for the Getty is fueled by these memories, its spectacular collection, and visiting exhibits. I would feel privileged to work in its education department.…

He didn't seem to like the name of the museum. The “Holocaust” Museum. Just didn't seem right, ya’ know? Like they reduced it to just that and nothing else, he tried to make it seem like his opinion really didn’t mattered, but this was just their history. This was his story. Now he’s just walking alongside her, her with the fair skin that had gentle freckles the sun gave to her every now and then, bright grey eyes that had tinges of subtle brown like oak. Her hair was long, brown, and swift and her voice, sweet. She was lively and short contrasting his mourning eyes, his tall and thick stature, his blunt voice, and his unruly tightly coiled and cotton hair. He was crushing hard, but he knew her head was elsewhere, on one of the other friends…

The news vans from a dozen different television stations were gathered around the massive crowd of people outside of what was once the closed down and abandoned Museum in Coutts. When our class visited Joan and Robert Rechnitz Hall I felt as if this would be a hard assignment because I felt as if none of the artwork would catch my attention, seeing as I’ve never had an interest in artwork while growing up. This visit was really eye opening because not only did I enjoy the time we spent there, surprisingly I was actually interested in some of the work that was being displayed at that time.…

My love for expression has led me to much success in my everyday life. Of course that an unlimited knowledge of writing would be impressive, but to me it would mean so much more. Writing has been like a getaway from all my problems, but in a way it has also been the solution. When I write, it feels as if I was telling the story of my life. I present myself with a problem that I am facing and make up and ending to the story as the solution to my problem. My ability to write touching essays has earned me much praise from teachers throughout my educational years. Having more talent and all the rules of writing at my disposal would be like an expressionist dream come true. This power would allow me to become a writer for the world and I would…
