Personal Narrative: My Undergrad Internship
I can remember when I did my undergrad internship at a rehabilitation center; the Physical Therapist explained to me that if a person has ruptured their Achilles tendon, calf raises were one the best exercises. This exercise was potentially one of the best due to it strengthening the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles. He also explained that many runners should focus on strengthening exercises, simply because of the wear and tear running they are more susceptible to this type of injury.

    For the month of my internship it was like going down memory lane, except more of in a coaches position. It's a day by day process from Monday to Friday that I go in for the internship. Everyday I wake up at 5AM and I arrive before the players get to the weightroom before weightlifting. The first day that I started was to make sure all of the cameras were charged up before I began anything. The next thing I do is check to see what workouts that are being done today so that I can know what to record and what not to record.
