This time I went to Chic Nail Bar. I got a new set. Which is when the nail tech removes the set of nails you currently have and cuts down you real nails because most likely they'll have grew out and be thin and brittle. Then push back your cuticles, and apply a clear tip. Then they'll ask you what length you would like and they cut them down to your liking. Then they'll start applying the acrylic. They'll dip their brush in a fluid and then into a powder, the powder soaks up the liquid and turns into a gel like substance It takes only seconds to dry and harden. The product hardens

I am a coupon person. I love coupon via mobile and with limited information. I just brought a piece of furniture that normally cost $3800 and I got this furniture for $1200 from JCPenny’s. I don’t really look for coupons unless I am going to that store. I must admit that I love on particular fast food chain named, Chick-Fil-A. I actually look for those coupons. I have received free minis, and other free things from Chick-Fil-A. At the same time, I carry Michael Kors products, which represent a particular status. I have a $400 dollar purse that I only paid $100. I even have a Michael Kors cell case, but no-one can tell it is a Michal Kors, but it make me feel a certain way. So, I am not sure what type of consumer behavior that I demonstrate.…

Greg was trained to survive on the streets as well as in jail. He became vicious and hunted weak prey by dawning a ski mask and robbing drug spots armed with a shotgun. He would bark orders, knocking heads and collect all the valuables. His drug addiction called for this and he followed, faithfully. His brother Dan convinced him to enter a 90-day program in the heart of skid row in downtown LA. In the first 30-days of his stay in the program he walked the streets while out on a “pass” and saw many people I knew and have known. His skid row life-changing experience taught, and he learned. Greg began to slow down and started becoming more “regular” doing more “normal” things with a new circle of people also in recovery. He soon got married…

When you hear the words "Red Carpet Bowl" you immediately think of the annual football bowl games that they sponsor in the month of August to kick off the football season with a preseason celebration. I have been a spectator at these annual bowl games for over ten years. Once I entered high school I participated in the bowl games as a cheerleader, dancer, and band member.…

I remember anxiously waiting for 9:00 o’clock so we could go explore the store. The grocery store could be kind of spooky during the night but this didn’t bother us too much because we would be busy playing tag or hide and seek throughout the store. The grocery store has seven aisles. Aisles 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 are nothing special but aisle 6 is divided into in half by a variety of items as well as a candy box ( I don’t know what else to call it).…

My best Pecan Fest experience was last year. I rode the Zipper with Austen and Hayden for most of the time. My friends and I played all weekend and had fun. We bought lots of confetti eggs. They were very useful when we used them on other people. We also bought silly string and sprayed lots of people. We went on the Zipper at least 10 times. I went on the MI twice. I went on the Pharos Fury a couple times. I ran around the yard with my friends and we rode on lots of rides. I helped my mom with her booth and I got a lot of people to play the game. I also watched my little brother perform on stage. After that I ate some food and then went one the Zipper. I felt so sick after. I got some water and I went home. The next day we went back to the…

Mrs. Smith started my second year of cosmetology by torturing me with giving me the Salon Success book. I am not a fan of this book because of the fact that it tells me how to live my life and most of it doesn't even make sense. I also do not like this textbook because it gives its own opinions on what's right and wrong. However, I like how honest and direct the material is presented. I learned something from most chapters, but I especially enjoyed chapter 5.2 “Clientele building” and 7.1 “Defining success.”…

Ever since I was a young girl I’ve had an interest in skincare. Of course, I loved playing with makeup, but what I enjoyed most was the understanding of skin. Why does our skin react to certain things? How do we prevent the bad reactions from happening? Why does everyone’s skin react differently compared to each other? These were few of the endless questions I would inquire my mother about everyday. As always my mother never disappoints, and she always was able to answer every single question. Due to my mother’s knowledge of skincare, I was inspired to obtain the same knowledge for something I’m so passionate about.…

It was my first year as a Key Club member and my excitement for Fall Rally North was insatiable. Every year, Key Club members from all over the San Francisco Bay Area gather at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to show off their spirit for their respective division through cheers, spirit battles, and overall friendliness. As I sat on the bus seat, anticipating what was to come, I was also worried. Will I be able to meet new people? Will I have the courage to say “hi” to others, or will I be the one who gets said “hi” to? The park came in sight and immediately my worries dissipated and instead, transfigured into feelings of adrenaline and elation.…

From the outside it looks small, dull, and sad. It’s on the corner of main street and if you drive fast enough you could probably miss it. It doesn’t have much detail except for an occasional cardboard cutout of a cowboy that you can see when driving on the street. Walking closer to it gives you a better impression, there was a big red and white motorcycle peeking out at me through the window. Could I have mistaken this place for a motorcycle store? But the shop's sign definitely gave it away, and I was indeed in the correct spot. The sign read “Americana” in big black cursive letters with “tattoo parlor” in smaller letters. I could already feel the “cool” feeling I was going to feel being in a tattoo shop for the first time.…
