Personal Narrative: My Work Experiences

Over the summer, I decided to work at a local car wash. My goals consisted of making money; however, as time passed, my 40 hours a week schedule led to a fortuitous relationship between many of the Latino workers. Work-related questions gradually evolved into conversations and relieving jokes. With my limited Spanish education, I began to grasp at their diverse cultures and backgrounds. Unlike most of the Americans working at the wash, the Latino people all had second jobs and a family to care for.
