When I first started noticing a change in myself was after my sister and I did karaoke on the cruise. Performing for many people was something I would have never done before. This situation ended up helping me in school as well. After the cruise I rejoined the Mock Trial team and became a very successful, dominating lawyer. Our team became County champs and took 4th place for the regional competition. The cruise helped me realize that if i try my best my audience will appreciate my efforts more than my outcome.

RYLA is a week long leadership conference held for juniors from surrounding schools. Juniors fill out an application and are later interviewed and chosen to attend the conference. The main goal at RYLA is to be able to achieve leadership through various activities, with a small group of 16 other people, who I now consider family members. I never thought that i could grow so close to 16 other people in a weeks time but I did. I will never forget their names. (Ronnie, Nate, Molly, Maggie-Rose, Kayla, Kennedy, Abbey, Roger, Zach, Beth, Emily, Taylor, Kaleb, Jackie, Nicole, Olivia). I couldn't have asked for a better small group. Throughout the week of RYLA we had long days of getting to know each others' greatest and saddest moments, laughed and cried with eachother, and worked out some mind boggling team building problems
