Personal Narrative: No Large Pets

Every time you move into a new apartment the leasing office or renter will say no large dogs or will give you specific breeds that aren’t allowed. I decided that having a pit bull wouldn’t be a bad idea because the apartment I just moved into was an average size. I thought since there were three rooms and a big living room that a big dog would have enough space. After having him for two days I realized how wrong I was. I realized that large dog breeds should never be left in a small apartment whether you are with them or leave them alone. Large dog breeds should always have enough room because they hate small places. Always make sure that your dog is happy and has enough room to run around without causing a huge mess. We left the dog puppy pads, food, water and figured he’d be fine since that’s every dogs necessity. I tried to delay going to work, but I need to work to pay for my needs as well as the dogs. I had to work an eight-hour shift and my boyfriend has to work a ten-hour shift. I come home earlier than Isrrael, but all day while I was at work I was scared about what I might come to because Terri, the dog, has never stayed inside a house before especially not alone for a long period of time. The only time Terri was brought inside was because of the rain and he’d be in the basement and once it finished raining they’d let him out
The house looked like a tornado when through it! Literally! Every time I went into a room to see how bad it was, it got worse and worse. In the main bedroom, he chewed the side of the door up and tore a piece of the frame of the door and shredded it to pieces throughout the house. There was poop all over and the whole apartment is carpeted except the bathrooms and kitchen. When I entered the kitchen, he went through the pantry and ate anything that wasn’t in a box even raw noodle. I also had a place when I had my little animal farm at and he got to them too. I have 4 chinchillas and had 2 guinea pigs at the time along with a hedgehog and he attacked their cages. I was only relieved that he could not get into the cage because I probably would have gotten rid of him and not cared what Isrrael
