Personal Narrative On Bana Amena

There once was a time that I remember when all countries were at peace. Hi, my name Bana Amena. I once had a home like yours. I once lived a happy life in a country I loved with my family together, but all that changed in the split of a second. Once we were a country at peace the next second we were a country at war, on our own grounds with our own citizens. I remember this experience as though I am still living it. It was a cold morning not something usual in Syria. As I was outside with my mother, we both heard a loud bang, then another, and then multiple more. My husband woke frightened to the sound as they weren't something we usually heard. He said that his friend had called and told him that there was a war starting, and that they are bombing all houses and structures and that he needed to take his family and leave since they were a wealthy family. They were leaving by car and were taking the back roads so none of the poor people would see that they had a car and attack them. While we were walking we noticed that we saw the Lebanese border, since my husband brought all our passports we went to the border and said our country isn’t safe so we needed to enter Lebanon. At the border they told us to wait and took us into another room where we saw about another 200 refugees in the room that were trying to escape Syria like my family. All of us refugees had to sleep in that room until they could set up camps for us. The next morning we woke up, we waited for a couple of hours then two officials entered saying they had a camp set up for us. They lined us up against the wall and we all boarded a bus.
