Personal Narrative: Pigger Box Traps
What I did this summer was on the last day of school me and my family went to this park that as a small pond and a large sizes bridge that crosses over it . After we were done at the park we went to Dairy Queen and had fun. Over the summer I had swam with my friends that live nearby . During the summer I like to do projects out of wood and other materials such as a go carts ,trigger box trap which works by a rectangular prism that has a drop door on the entrance and a trigger in the back of the trap that is a stick with a notch in it so once the animal hit the trigger the door will fall and trap it . The last project that I did was make a crossbow out of plywood and the bow was made out of hickory and the string from a bike inner

When I was in first grade my entire class went on a field trip to Bee City Honeybee Farm, Petting Zoo, and Nature Center. On that field trip, we learned a lot about bees, (though now that I’m older, I recall just about one thing from that entire trip) and other animals.…

It started off like everyday for every beagle working in the airport. A beagle’s life working in the airport is mainly using our acute sense of smell to sniff out any meats or plants that could possibly carry diseases or pests. I work in the Beagle Brigade at the Tay Airport. The Beagle Brigade is a team of beagles, and human handlers that search for prohibited agricultural products, and unauthorized meats. From what I’ve heard my owner says that without us our foods wouldn’t be safe, and there can be diseases that can be introduced in the U.S.To make it simple, without us humans wouldn’t be safe at all.…

Just like most civilized people I dislike bugs. Actually I really hate them! Just thinking about them gets me all itchy and uncomfortable, and yet one summer evening I would find myself sticking my hands right into their dark slimy lair. I swear God has a weird sense of humor at times. But I guess he knew me well enough to know that I hate dead kittens more than those nasty creepy crawly slimy BUGS! This is my story about the night I became a life saver and was able to overcome my fear of creepy nasty bugs….at least for a few minutes.…

Today is the day we are starting our trip. We have our wagon train ready to go now it's time to leave this crazy city. I have my oxen pulling my prairie schooner everything is going well until I bump into a fancy Conestoga wagon. The wagon wasn't to badly damaged, there was just a scratch, but the owner made me pay him sixty dollars. I almost knocked him out but I didn't want to start off our journey that way. Our first day we had plenty of problems including the little accident earlier we had to dump some of the tools we doubled up on because of an over load issue. I was mad as the dickens because I was looking forward to using those tools. They costed us a pretty penny as well. We made camp after 25 miles for the day. We made a horse shoe…

A tepee was built like a cone with lumber to make its shape and covered with animal skin and fur that was hunted. The fur was very helpful to them because during the winter the fur kept the tepee warm.…

Something we do that provides information or feedback would be putting on our fair. Not only at a county fair are there rides, carnival games, and carnival food; but also all the hard work each 4-Her has put in to the projects they have to complete to be a part of the group. There are so many different projects, from livestock to sewing to cooking to robotics to duct tape art to the shooting sports. Over the years, I have taken many projects from all areas in our project guide, but my favorite has been the self-determined projects. While having four years left in the program I really wanted to find a project that I truly loved and enjoyed doing. All my friends had their favorite and I wanted mine, so me and mom were…

Homelessness is a pressing issue throughout the entire world. It affects people of all ages, genders, and races. The official definition from Google of homeless is “(of a person) without a home, and therefore typically living on the streets.” People who are homeless usually do not choose their homelessness. In fact, many people are pushed into this status due to many different reasons, such as gentrification or just difficulty finding a job. Walking down the Market Street of San Francisco, a bustling city, one would find many homeless begging, walking, or chatting with other homeless. They each have their own story behind their homelessness, and their own hardships. Women, in particular, have different needs and sufferings; they are more prone…

Zach, seeing that you have $30 in your piggy bank, I was wondering if you could provide it to me. In advanced, already knowing that you won't give your money for nothing, due to stubbornness and the presence of greediness. I have pondered about it for an extended period of time, and I know what will modify your acceptance for this exchange. If you allow me to conceal this bribe away from mother, I will provide your money back with interest. In addition, my long board and Xbox will be permitted in your petite, bothersome hands, for 2 weeks.…
