There was rules when playing. When starting everyone would have to say “start playing my people” ending it off with a combo of “mm” and ”g”. And if we wanted to stop in between the hours of playing we would all say the same phrase and only change the word “start” with “pause”. If at any time during the hours of playing one of us said something what we didn’t want to be said in our Barbie world that person would say the mixed phrase of “mm” and “g”.

Books lied on the ground creating roads for the cars, squares made out of tape represented the shopping stores, the airport, the doctor’s office, etc. (any real life thing you could think of it was built). My mom enjoys a tip top shaped house everything has a place to go at the end of the day. But here was the thing, we just spent the last three hours putting all of this together and now it has to be destroyed. Our response was always, “but mom we're going to play with it again tomorrow so why clean it all up if we would just have to do it again?” Creating this world every week forced me into developing a creative mind. If the books weren’t a road then stuff laying around the house shaped the structure of the road. We have real food but the Barbies don’t, just mix a little flour and water and there you go food; later in life I learned mixing those two make
