Academically, Ross’ multidisciplinary courses like Business of Biology will allow me to explore the future of healthcare through personalization and provide access to healthcare leaders further showing the reach of the school’s alliances and network.
This type of forward-thinking curriculum alongside unique opportunities like Global Multidisciplinary Action Projects will provide me with a global perspective necessary to address the challenges of our interdependent world. I realize that to become a leader in an industry with sweeping and complicated reforms, I need greater exposure to various industries, new business ideas, and innovative thinking.
In addition, being near Detroit, where health disparities continue to persist among minority communities, will allow me the opportunity to address real-time issues. By participating in organizations like Detroit Revitalization and Business, I intend to collaborate with others on community engagements to strengthen my consulting skills and give back to the place I will call home for two years.
My desire to attend Ross is largely driven by my passion for healthcare. Through the experiential curriculum, local impact opportunities, and global experiences, I will acquire business and teamwork skills necessary to be a successful leader and address critical systemic health issues in America.
