Personal Narrative: The Many Churches In Sweet Water
I have lived in Sweet Water for sixteen years. It is not the biggest town, but it is great just the way it is. Sweet Water is small, and you see people you know all the time. People in my town are very nice and also caring. You always see someone giving another person encouragement, or making sure that they have all of the love they need. This is a small town, so of course people gossip, and it gets around quick. Overall, Sweet Water is a great town, and I am going to enjoy my last couple of months here.

There are not many churches in Sweet Water. Some of them are St.Paul Baptist Church, New Shalom Baptist Church, and Mt. Mariah Baptist Church. I actually go to church in Pine Hill, because that is where my mother grew up. My favorite

Driving down Highway one on a weekend vacation, my wife and I arrive at a little town by the name of Carmel. We decide to stop and drive around this beautiful town. We stop at the beach for a while and enjoy the beautiful day. After enjoying the day we leave the beach and drive a different way than when we came in to the town earlier that day; we get lost. As we are trying to get back to Highway one we turn on Rio Road and come onto one of the most beautiful buildings we have ever seen. We decided to get off and look inside; since we saw a parking lot and a couple of cars parked in the parking lot. When we went inside we found out that the beautiful place we were…

Our whole wagon train met at the front entrance and we left Fort Kearney together. It was a nice stay, but we had to keep moving. As we were traveling on the trail, we were stopped by the South Platte River. We need to cross the river in order to follow a stream that heads to the North. We check if there were bridges around the place since the water was shallow, but we saw no bridge. We decided to use the sand bar we saw so we can get across the river. As we crossed the river, Michael almost fell off the sand bar with his 13 year old son. Luckily Curtis pulled him up and we were successfully able to cross the river.…

I started my career off as a Presbyterian minister and became a preacher at many other places. I wanted to move out west to spread more revival movements. I was know for being one of the best preachers and for my sermons. My view on temperance is that it is a sin and that all it does it makes you do stupid things. A merchant rented part of the church that I was working at the time was storing achloch in the lower level of the church. In this event the alcohol ignited and burned down in Boston . My Six Sermons On Temperance helped set a national movement to guard the mental help of Republicans.…

I was young then but the memory is fresh in my mind and in the same year a boy whose home was near our school committed suicide by overdose and there was a lot of speculation that it could be due to low self esteem. This guy was very fat and not so good looking and others used to ridicule him but I know we are all made in the image of God and I think either his pals ridiculed him or something like that. Long ago people who killed others according to our custom were thrown in very steep rocks left to die and the hyenas feasted on them. There was no burial ceremony conducted for evil people as they were an abomination.…

Judgment and perception begins at a young age, and continues throughout life. How a person views something affects their beliefs about life and how to live it; one impression can really change a person’s attitude. Through these beliefs and impressions a person uses symbols to express their feelings and emotions that some people try to use to void out their experiences. Throughout her memoir, Jesus Land, Julia Scheeres uses symbols to identify her process of escape from her emotions and experiences; symbols such as, alcohol, music, and hope to signify her determination of breaking free from her problems and running away from life.…

When I was younger, around age 7 probably, it was around December and it was super cold and my church was doing Posadas, a tradition for some Mexicans and Mexican- Americans, for about a week and a half before Christmas. On one of those days that I went, my friend, America was also there. She was younger than me and always wore her hair up in ponytails and sometimes wore a small bow in her hair. I only ever saw her in church and church related things. So we never talked during church because then Father Mac, the pastor who was somewhat bald, and he just started preaching there a while back, would literally stop church to call those who made any type of noise out. So when America and I finally got a chance to talk and play without getting yelled…

Christianity is a brand new thing for me. In my entire 19 years of life, I haven’t had a lot chance to get involved with any church related activities. I have read it from books, seen it from movies, but I have never experienced what is Christianity all about by myself. From where I grew up, most of the people will claim themselves atheist. Lots of us were convinced that here were no Gods or any spiritual power existed in this world. Although our government will claim that China is a country of religious freedom, such claim really makes me laugh. People should not take Chinese government’s word really seriously. Communist governors are masters of manipulating. They promise us that we can believe in any religion as we wish, as long as it did not involve illegal activity. However, the government keeps indoctrinating Chinese people with all those negative…
