By the time I reached the auditorium, I could hear loud voices, as if a group of people was arguing or worse, fighting.
I was right, it was our street play team clashing with a group of fresh Rotaract recruits. I heard a friend shout " Naga the new recruits have our time slot, and our team was asked to quit." I was about to talk to the other team coordinator in the hope of negotiation, and just then I heard someone call my name. I could not identify the person but, he shouted “Hey Naga, can’t you just see? We are the best. Oh yes, I am sorry you cannot, I could make that out from the size of your glasses, maybe you should go for a checkup, looks like it has doubled.” He was laughing at his own snide comment. The others jeered along with him. My teammates dragged me out of the place before I could successfully punch the guy in the face, and get suspended from college.
