On the day of the storm it was a slightly foggy day, the skies were gray, but the there was no rain. We were at my cabin up by Brainerd, Minnesota. The water was still like a elegant statue in a museum. We woke up on that day thinking i was going to leave in the morning. My dad left at five in the morning, because he was feeling groggy. My mom made my brother, and I a huge breakfast; with pancake, eggs, bacon, and toast. After breakfast we all took a shower, and I thought we were going to leave. I get out of the shower, to find out my brother went out with the boat, and ran out of gas. So we had to stay and extra hour. We got to Grandview Resort for a marvelous diner. We sat at a table by a window, ordered drinks, and appetizers. Then my mom’s phone started to buzz saying that we in the the dead center of a storm, and that was the second sign. I started to calm down from the crazy roller coaster, but the shutters of the restraint flew open hitting a women in the arm. She yelled out and said, “Lucky that I'm a big women.” Then the power went out we had to run across the street.
