Personal Narrative: Time Travelers Protection Agency (TTPA)
“What’s the issue now?” “Nothing big just a product that has slipped through a time hole.” “Okay, well, be safe.” I hug my twin brother goodbye and watch as he goes through a time portal. It always scares me when he leaves. This isn’t an especially dangerous mission; it’s not like we are trying to stop the Time Snatcher. However, things can always go wrong. Andrew, my brother, and I are members of the TTPA: Time Travelers Protection Agency. Our little brother Alex is a TTPA in training. Mostly we go on missions like Andrew is on now. Before I go any further, I need to go backwards. There are three main families in this world that have consistently contained time traveling DNA: the Franklins, the Jewelcusses and the Nightingtons. My brothers and I are part of the Nightington family. There are only ten time travelers in each family line at a time; however, twins like Andrew and I count as one person. Each member of the TTPA is chosen by an older time traveler, who is part of the family line, to mentor them. One’s time traveling power can’t be fully unleashed or controlled until they complete training. It is 2:00 pm and it has been about five minutes since Andrew left. I get more and more …show more content…

There are no traces of Andrew, but instead rumors of the most feared name in the TTPA, The Time Snatcher. He is one of the rare few in this world that is a time traveler, but not a member of one of the three families. We are constantly having to go back in time and fix what he has messed up. Under TTPA rules we could not recruit him and he is out for revenge. Now he has my brother. I, being Andrew’s twin, have been chosen to find him. Typically the closest relative of a distressed or missing time traveler is sent to help. This is because they have the strongest pull to the missing time traveler. Andrew’s and my pull is so strong that when we were babies we would warp to one another when we were

The author examines the moral and ethical dilemma of a physician who take part in euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide. He distinguishes the difference between passive euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide. Anson notes, that passive euthanasia is more acceptable due to the similarities of the American Medical Association's Code of Medical Ethics guidelines for withholding or removing life-sustaining intervention. However, the article also implied contradictions in the Hippocratic Oath against active euthanasia. Moreover, Anson examines the ideas based on proponents' views for active euthanasia, which patients who utilize life support systems are suffering agonizing and "leading to an undignified death". Although the article differs…

Who could've thought moving states could cause such a change? I never knew it could… this much. As the for sale was ripped out of my yard, we returned back into my previous house. This was the day we moved to hot and big Texas. We hauled all our boxes, big and small, short and tall, into the moving truck. “Let's go,” my mom yelled. We started our journey to Texas, and I could already feel sorrow in my heart.…

Cross-Country was coming up and I knew that I had to get back in shape of running, about three-five miles a day. I wanted to be ready for my coaches to be “woah” , in the first race in Cross-Country.I also wanted to set my P.R. - Personal Record- high up on the scale because I want to stand out and become the best I can be. Personal background starts off small, it changes and grows over time into something big, it grows into an identity. Walking down the hallway at school, seeing someone standing alone, my first instinct is to make conversation, compliment, or even just smile at him or her. This instinct came from someone once telling me an act so small could turn a person's entire life around. As a kid, reading encyclopedias about random topics, consumed my time. Many days were spent coming home to find an injured wild animal in my dad's arms waiting to be saved. My dad would sit outside and draw animals, trees, and anything else he saw. Nothing excited me more than trying to draw whatever my dad drew, and as good as he did. Any assignment that was handed to…

The Laws in this country need to be changed due to the misunderstanding of the U.S. Constitution, the easy access of obtaining a gun and the rise of violent crimes. The U.S. Constitution, Amendment 2, states that an individual has “the right to bear arms and set up a militia.” The Constitution guarantees the rights of individuals to own and use guns, and allows the people to keep and bear arms, and the citizens shall not be infringed upon and can form a militia. This amendment must be broken down in order to better understand its true intent. The founding fathers intent was clear for some to understand but if you are a card carrying member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) it is easy…

Fall trips is a time to get together with old friends and meet new ones. It is a time to be unified as a grade. 8th grade went to Kőzeg, and we had an amazing time. We went on zip-lines towering over the forests. We also went canoeing and did team-building exercises. But the most unforgettable experience of them all was going to the SOS children's village. Most of these children have a horrible past. But the point of going there was not just to talk about their harsh childhood, it was to have fun with them and let their worries float away for a couple days. 8th grade had a blast zip-lining while, at the same time, getting to know them well. I am so happy we got to spend four days with these kids, who, we quickly learned, we share more similarities…
