What icebreaker worked well? Why?
The icebreaker that I thought worked very well was the inside outside circle where the whole class made two circles one on the outside and one on the inside and we had to rotate and get to know someone new each time by answering different questions asked by one of the tutors. I thought this game worked very well because the questions that were asked were very interesting and it got many students to get into conversations and not get boring because they were open ended questions.

It was a great moment learning something interesting about one another and our likes and dislikes.
What did you struggle with, and what did you learn about yourself?
The thing that I struggled with was trying to talk to the grade nine’s and finding the right things to say so that they would be more comfortable opening up to me. What I learned about myself was that I am very open minded and like to hear about other people’s interests.
What did you not expect from the students?
I did not expect them to be as involved. I thought the students would be more shy and would not want to participate, but everyone seemed to open up and participate in every game that we had prepared for them.
What student interested you the most? Why?
The student that interested me the most was a student named Justin I believe. He was tiny and wore a big blue shirt I think. He interested me the most because he seemed kind of quiet and shy and I would really like to get to know him better and get him to open up and talking to other individuals.
