GPA and score Excellence on each of my end of course exams. Although most of my activities and achievements are academic, I also like to sing, dance, and write, which influenced my decisions to join the school choir, the church choir, the Chess Club, the Library Club, and my school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
This is my second year on the Peabody Magnet High Soccer team, and I was even awarded the Coach’s award for playing midfield and made honorably mention in my district ranking. I also am the Co-Captain of the Peabody Flag line. Being on the soccer and flag teams taught me that hard work really pays off and really forced me to challenge myself. When the flag line first started, we did not have a coach or experience. Although we taught ourselves our own routines, techniques and twirls; we placed and won a 3rd place trophy in our first battle of the bands competition. It was the smallest trophy there, but it meant more to me than any big one could. It just proved to me again that if I put my mind to something I could accomplish
anything. I always worked to achieve more, with that mindset I have exceeded nearly every goal I’ve set for myself. My ACT score is now a 26 and the Flag team went on to win 2nd place in another competition. Even with my increasing amount of extracurricular activities including Educators Rising and Healthy Living Club, My grade point average is a 3.91 unaffected by the difficulty of my three dual enrollment and Advanced Math classes. I am the 2016 Peabody Magnet High School Student of the Year and still maintain my rank that I’ve had for the last three years as number one in my class. I am still working diligently to maintain it to achieve my goal of becoming my class’s valedictorian.
