During my life I never put extra time nor did the extra mile for about anything and I believe the root of this was just being lazy and not making goals for myself. I was just doing the bare minimum for just about everything from sports ,to school, or just communicating with others. However, this all changed after I was inspired by the movie Vision Quest. This movie has inspired me so much that whenever I feel like I’m getting burnt out from wrestling practice, homework, or other problems, I just watch Vision Quest and it motivates me to do everything thing 100%. This movie also helped me make big goals for myself and sticking to them by remembering what's more important and not quitting no matter what anybody says. Furthermore, I admire Louden a lot because he had an unbroken spirit and never doubted himself and he pushed himself so much that others would give up in seconds. The things I would like to take from Louden is his mindset because without a strong mind the person is nothing. Another thing is his commitment, waking up everyday and training, …show more content…
running, pushing weights and doing everything he can do to get a lead on Shute. There are so many more things that I would like to do like him, but the last one is the passion to train because mid season everyone gets burnt out, but not louden he trained like a little kid going to an amusement park and this is something I need to work on.
Since then I’ve believed that I’ve matured a ton and has been showing progress, which have been shown by bring my grades up because It has come to my mind that college is an important thing to me.
Also but grades have been holding me back which makes that dream a struggle but after gaining the motivation to fix that I’ve been spending more of my time fixing my grades and trying to get my gpa higher than the average person’s so that I can get into my dream college. I believe that where I’ve been really showing the most progress is in sports because now majority of my time is put into wrestling because I’ve rearranged my mindset to is what you put in is what you get out of it and this is because I hate losing because throughout my whole life I’ve been a really competitive person. My mindset is if I get beaten I will train till I’ve become 2 times better than the person who has beaten
me. In conclusion, I'm just a kid with big dreams and goals so one day I can become someone important. Furthermore, Louden has helped me so much to become the person who I am today and whenever I'm feeling down or hopeless or giving up, I will watch it and It will pick me up every time. In my future, I would like to walk in the steps of Louden because through my eyes in my eye it's the most humbling and right way for coming of age. I'm happy that I was able to experience that movie because if I didn’t I wouldn't be on the right track on taking on my goals that I hope to someday achieve.
