Personal Narrative: Why I Love America
I love America because it is a free nation. I can say what I please, do what I please, and believe in what I please. I can own a firearm. The food here is amazing, all sorts of different kinds of food. The military here isn’t what it used to be but it is still one of the best in the world. I like talking to the military veterans and hearing their stories of how they survived the horror of war. Democracy, I like it that way because that means I can do whatever I want as long as I follow the American laws. America has the best tech that money can buy. I also love American because Donald Trump is in it, he can make America great and safe

Hind sight is 20/20 vision. If we knew then what we know now, would we have done anything differently? Sadly we’ll never know and throwing our hands up in the air and shouting “boo” and “atrocities” or “lets punish Japanese and American commanders, naval officers, and flight lieutenants” will be of no use whatsoever. Afterall, what is done is done. We can’t undo it. Now all we can do is move forward carefully, having learned from the horrors of the past.…

My whole symbol revolves around an American flag because I am American. On stripes area of the flag I put the sports that I play every year, which are basketball, football, baseball, and track. If you look inside the track symbol you will see the number 400 because I run 400’s in track. The basketball is the biggest and in the middle because it is my favorite sport to play. If you follow the sports counter clock wise around the flag you will find the order of my favorite sports. I like basketball because you get to run a lot and it could get physical. I like football because you get to tackle kids without getting in trouble. The reason I do track is to travel to towns with your friends and to get the feeling of winning. I enjoy playing baseball…

This connection that I have with my mother is a dime a dozen if you look at our entirely culture here in America. Less and less families these days actually cook or sit down to eat a meal together which has left many Americans searching for something they have lost. This lost feeling is being capitalized on by television networks by the vast amount of cooking and food related shows that are being broadcasted. Frank Bruni asks in “An Experts Theory of Food Television Appeal”, “For these young people, does the televised cooking have have the appeal of a missive from a lost utopia” (Bruni 111)? I believe he hit the proverbial nail right on the head with this line of questioning and he couldn't be more correct. Young adults who lead busy lives,…

Leaving your country is always a difficult decision, and whoever has experienced it understands the sacrifice it entails. What kept me motivated was the hope for a better future and an independent life.…

One day nearly two years ago, I came back from the worst trip and experience ever in my life. Three years ago, my family made the biggest decision of our lifetime together and we had decided to move. Now the fact that we were moving didn’t bother me or my little sister, it was just the simple fact that we were moving from our home that we had grown up in our entire life. The only problem was the fact that we had eventually found out that we were going to move to Oregon. This Alabama home that we grew up in was very special to me and my sister but it wasn’t the one of best of places. We had lived right beside our grandparents and we loved to go up the hill and see them and us moving had rendered that possibility from happening any longer.…

The America that we live in in so hard to explain because it is so great that I can consider myself grateful to be living here in America. Second, in America everyone can go to a public school and go to college. Third, in America everyone has the freedom of speech, the freedom of religion, and the freedom of justice.…
