Personal Narrative-Wrestling
I was wearing a navy blue polo and a pair of tan dress shorts. Not the normal clothing for a fight, but it was for today. Snack time had just ended and Mrs. Seaberry gave us some free time. In the classroom she had a toy kitchen set. I wanted to “cook” some eggs, but there were too many people in the kitchen. With not much free time left, I had to think of something to do quick. Growin up, I watched many hours of wrestling at my grandparents, so that was the first thing to come into my mind. Wrestle. I walked over to Vinny and asked if he wanted to wrestle. He said he would. It felt as if we were in an actual WWE wrestling environment. There was scent of popcorn in the air from snack time that took place before free time. I made

When I was in second grade I learned that I loved competing with people and being good at things. I joined a gymnastics gym near my house in second grade when i was 9, and started competing when i was 10. My mom told me that I have to do well in school if I was going to be focused on a sport along with school, or she would take me out of gymnastics. Soon enough, I wasn’t doing so well in social studies and comm skills. I was scared my mom would make me quit, But I worked as hard as I could so get back up there. Focusing more on school than outside activities, I got that grade back up and I continued with my favorite sport. I love gymnastics, but I don’t let it get in the way of school because school always comes first.…

I was sitting in my freshman geometry class, talking to some friends about injuries. We were talking about how none of us have ever gotten injured in our entire life. I had been playing sports since I was in the sixth grade, and nothing ever happened. In my life I had never broken a bone. I had never even sprained an ankle. I had never worn any kind of brace, taped an ankle, or talked to a trainer about any muscle issue or pain issue. When kids would lay on the court, I always thought they were fine or looking for a little attention. My thought was that they needed to rush off the court because they were dripping sweat all over the hardwood floor, and they were taking too much time up. I used to assume they were killing our momentum when they would fall down and cry because some schools…

Once I got to regionals I started wrestling I was doing good I won my first two matches by pin; then in my semi finals match I was wrestling against the number one seed and he was pretty tough. I ran upstairs to get my pink, Barbie stool, so fast you would have thought a ghost was chasing me. I climbed on top of the stool and reached for a thick black book; the book’s cover felt like concrete scraping against my stubby little fingers. I scrambled into my dad’s favorite loveseat, with the velvety beige suede, in the middle of the basement. Gently opening the book, I began to try to read something that was beyond my seven-year-old comprehension. Finally after repeatedly reading the same sentence, for what felt like three hours, I decided to put the book back and read something else.…

We flew in an airplane from Portland, OR to Providence, RI, and then we drove from there to Montreal, Canada. We stayed in my dad’s brother’s home for the time that we were there. My uncle’s name is Charles, and once we first arrived at his house, we met his daughter named Felicia, and his two twin sons named Tristan and Zachary. Once we were settled in in their house, we went out to the mall nearby and went shopping. We then went back home to eat the homemade spaghetti that Charles’ wife, Isabelle, had made. After, we decided to have a fashion show for all of the kids of the clothes we had bought earlier that day. Later at night, all of the kids got together and slept in one room and played Super Mario Brothers against each other on our nintendo DSes.…
