Personal Reflection Paper Grow up as a child I didn’t have this labyrinth and exciting childhood, like others did. We didn’t crawl our way up from sewers also. I grow up with a normal family who loved there kids, family of five, with two brothers. I love where my is at and heading to. My whole family as known as a hard work, from my Grandma and Grandpa as field workers to my generation as engineers and doctors. Each generation of my family worked hard to push the next generation to be better and thrive to improve their way of life to never settle for less. My family has a little sang “ To always be better than the next person.” I was born in Bakersfield, CA with a loving mom and dad, Aurora, and J.R Gonzales. I have two brother Ryan who is 20 and my fraternal twin Kyle is 23. Growing up was a little hard for me. I always got in trouble. I don’t know why I would do dumb things, considering my dad was a military man. When I got in trouble he would always enforcing his law, if you get my drift. I guess you can say growing up I was the screw up. My parents never gave up on me; they always pushing me to be the best, to be better than them. To go to college and have faith in God. Steve Jobs makes a point saying, “You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.” (1) I my put my trust in God trusting in him hoping everything will just fall in place. Theres two main like things that always crosses my mind. One is to how to improve myself in everything mostly education. Last is death, how would you remember after your dead.

Unlike Steve Jobs, I’m not that lucky as since how his life kind of fell into place. Steve Job said, “it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when I was in college” (2). It was a different for me, I wanted to got to college to better myself. When I started college everything kind of make sense. Looking back, I always

I did not understand that much, as a child, but now I have started to put the pieces together in hopes of shaping my future. When I was an infant, I began to suffer severely from Trichotillomania, a disorder that caused me to pull out my hair for no apparent reason. This lasted for eight long years. I had to maintain my self-love while others sought ways to exclude me for being hairless. I did not expect to be physically different from the norm, but that small puzzle piece added to who I am today: an erudite student driven to encourage others to find their true worth.…

However, high school came I took everything for granted. I always had the impression of “It’s going to be easy” or you can make it later in the run.” You can’t have second chances for everything. “You’ll never make it,” they all said, my boyfriend, family, teachers, and friends. It was like my life was already figured out for me, as if I didn’t have a say. The message was loud and clear. They all expected me to fail, to settle for a minimum wage paying job, to settle for just a high school diploma. For a while I went around believing that all I could do was the minimum required. But then I realized that I was capable of doing so much more. As time went on I realized that I did not have to live up to other’s low expectations and I started making a name for myself. I chose to focus the majority of my revision on my zine instead of the rationale paper. I saw that there was no point in changing my rationale as it already explained most of the choices I made when I designed my zine. So instead of re-writing the original zine rationale, I just corrected the grammar and punctuation errors. On the other hand, I realized that my zine could be greatly enhanced with bigger pages. As mentioned in my zine rationale, I discussed about incorporating colors, more text and improving the quality of the text. Taking into account these two suggestive improvements, I had to re-illustrate everything that was on my original zine to new and bigger zine pages.…
