Personal Reflection On The Outsiders

In the eighth grade, my entire home room class was required to read The Outsiders. A novel about the events in the life of a 14-year-old boy named Ponyboy and the struggles he faced in his neighborhood. The entire book was to be read during our winter break in order to prepare us for a quiz we would receive the day we returned from break. During that time, I was never interested in reading and could never get through a book without losing interest. The odds of me ever completing an assigned book were immensely low.
