The problem I was trying to solve was my unwillingness to complete my homework. I usually don’t complete before the due date, or if I feel I can get away with it I won’t do it at all. I planned to make a schedule that would not only help me study or complete work, but will train my mind to complete work. I made a system of “rewards and punishments” to help keep myself on track.
The first week went just as I expected it to be, but with some unexpected gamechangers. Scheduling in study times around band rehearsal was somewhat difficult considering how often and exhausting each practice leaves me. I also contracted bronchitis during the first week, which drained my whole body of any energy to complete anything mentally or physically. These two factors majorly set back my motivation to do anything besides sleep. I was still able to complete homework before the it was due, but it was of poor quality. I was trying to recover from the bronchitis, but with how busy my schedule was it was near impossible to get some well needed sleep. Because of my exhaustion from the previous week, it was hard to push myself up again to continue working hard.
