Entry Essay for MPAC program in University of California, Irvine J Lin
I would like to divide my personal goals into different stages. At this stage, completing a master program of accounting in an outstanding business school is my priority. Among all the ACCA modules I’ve taken in C University of Finance and Economics, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting and Advance Assurance are those which I emphasized on and in which I got As. Also I was attracted by how detail-oriented and analytical the financial statement analysis and financial reporting are. The customized program structure of MPAC at P M School of Business will both enhance my knowledge and make good for my deficiency.
For instance, Financial Statement Analysis I: Earning Quality and Asset Analysis and Financial Statement Analysis II: Liability and Equity Analysis are arranged in a neat hierarchical order. The topic of my graduation thesis is The Consolidated Financial Statement for multinational companies. There is no wonder that I will make further efforts on interpreting on consolidated financial statements and ratio analysis.
My short term goal is to pass CPA exams during the study at P M Business School. I have exempted from 9 of 14 certificated exams in ACCA which prepared me well for AICPA exams. A proper understanding of new State of California Board of Accountancy education standards will have a significant effect.
My initial goal is to obtain a position as a public accountant or auditor to gain practical corporate experience in national or local accounting firms immediately after graduation. The peculiar characteristic proseminar will further elaborate and refine my targets.
What’s more, big firms such as PwC and Deloitte Consulting have set up local offices in Orange County. And UCI is an outstanding and reputational university in United States, which will ensure me to have access to get networking

Each state sets forth standards required to be eligible to take the CPA exam and apply for licensure or certification as a CPA. The Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification requires membership in the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) as well as education, work experience, and examination requirements. While Western International University® programs are designed with consideration for the standards proposed by the National Association of State Boards of Accounting (NASBA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the IMA, Western International University cannot assure that successful graduates will meet their states' or IMA's specific eligibility requirements…

As with AU1 , the emphasis in this course is on the external audit as opposed to the management or internal audit. The latter is dealt with in Internal Auditing & Controls [MU1] . The primary objective of an external auditor is to render an opinion on the fair presentation of the financial statements, whereas a management auditor is primarily concerned with the risk management, internal controls, and governance processes of the organization. Regardless of these differences, many of the procedures, standards, and strategies are common to both types of audits. The CGA Program of Professional Studies is designed to help you develop the competencies that are essential to a professional accountant. In AU2 , which focuses on external auditing and assurance engagements, you develop and strengthen competencies related to determining whether to accept an assurance engagement; evaluating the assurance needs of clients; planning and performing the engagement; and interpreting, documenting, and reporting the results. You also develop competencies related to evaluating and advising on accounting policies and procedures, in accordance with professional standards. Course work focuses on tasks such as identifying and analyzing risk factors and measures to mitigate risk using technological tools in the workplace…

I was asked to winter formal my freshman year of high school by the Air Force JROTC commander who just happened to be a senior. Having the head-person in charge even talk to me at all was a big deal back then. I still don’t know how it happened, but with a bit of dumb luck and a lot of late nights out, we started dating. Danail and I were on top of the world. There was nothing we couldn’t accomplish if we set our minds to it, and so we did. We were always out on adventures. You could catch us hiking, backpacking, or just hanging out with friends, but we always had huge smiles on our faces. Slowly getting to know each other better, and planning our futures together, one important detail I found out is that during her sophomore year of high school she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was in remission, but at the expense of having to endure extensive treatments of chemotherapy and radiation. Halfway through my sophomore year (we were still dating) she was re-diagnosed with malignant tumors in her abdomen. She went through several hospitals and even more treatment plans, keeping her optimism high and still living to love life. Fast forward to this last summer when at 2am on June 12th, 2012 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Arizona, our last hope, Danail Lynn Frey took her last breath. She meant more to me than I could ever comprehend at the time, and my life was suddenly derailed in an instant.…

I strongly intend to be a computer engineer. I am inspired by many successful people that had graduated in Computer Engineer at Chulalonkorn University. Witnessing those famous graduates devoting their knowledge to country and to the world has encouraged my decision that this is the right place as much as I am the right perspective student. My inspiration has become even more intensified since I worked as a trainee of Android Programming Development Section at Opendurian Company. Being a growing expert in computing would enable me to solve complex computer problems rarely ever solved and may launch innovations to make changes to the world. I am very confident that my computer company which I plan to begin after my graduation from the faculty to run with the engineering grounding would help me explore all opportunities beyond boundaries. And indeed Chulalongkorn is my first university choice.…
