I am applying for a place on the MSc Management and International Business course at the Birmingham City University Business School because of my keen interest in business and management. Over the past few years, my curiosity in the field of management has grown exponentially. It always fascinates me to observe the inter-relationship of even the most insignificant entrepreneur with the wider environment. It shows how businesses can forge links between people around the world and give a real purpose to the phenomenon of globalisation.
From an early age, I always had an interest in understanding how businesses are managed and that led me to undertake business related courses at high school. I also have a particular interest in tourism. Ever since I picked up business related courses, I have been intrigued by different analyses and perspective of management and with my rising awareness of management and my interest in tourism motivated me to take up the BA International Tourism Management with Business at undergraduate level as this particular course had the elements of tourism as well as business management that best suited my interest.
I have been brought up in Dubai where I completed my schooling. I then enrolled at Middlesex University in London where I am currently finishing my undergraduate course. At university, I have gained deeper knowledge in the fields of Management and Tourism. In my two years at university, I have studied a number of business related subjects such as marketing, strategic management, financial statistics and human resource management. Due to my hard work and dedication, I have achieved an upper second-class honour, which I hope, will demonstrate my academic ability to study at this level.
