Personal Statement: A Personal Analysis

Growing up the oldest child in the house, I had to learn to guide myself. My mother, who lacks fluency in English, could not give me the help I needed as other kids my age were receiving. At age seven, the loss of my dad also affected me. Because neither of my parents received a high-level of education, they constantly stressed the importance of attaining one. In response to their words of advice, I have gone through school with high-set goals and dreams that I know I can achieve with significant effort. In regards to my ethnicity, my appetite for a high-level of education and a high-placement job is insatiable. I aspire to be an empowering Hispanic woman who sets an example for many. I possess the trait in which I tend to set exceedingly
