They also need to know the history behind early childhood and secondary education to understand why things vary between the two. Leaders need to also understand the history and experiences of the diverse cultures within their schools.…

From first hand experience, I know that Anthony Fitzpatrick understands students on a level that few educators do. In fact, in all my years of school, he is the only teacher to be able to effectively communicate with me. Due to this, I credit him with nearly all my academic success ever since we first met when I was in eighth grade. In addition to my story, there are a plethora of kids who have similar stories and relationships with Mr.Fitz.…

Many researchers have taken time to learn more about how factors in an infant’s life can affect the way they develop and how it can affect their school years and adulthood. The vast majority of our development occurs in the first years of life, so what happens to us as an infant can be an indicator as to what kind of person we will become later on in life. If one experienced infancy being nurtured by loving caregivers who met their needs, researchers can predict that he or she would turn out to be a so-called normal adult who would face less issues concerning mental health.…
When I was a little girl and now, I always wanted to specialize in teaching younger kids and help them out. My career choice of being Early Childhood Education really fits me, since I for once love being around kids and being around them. I feel like it helps me attach to them. I’ve been more happy to be around kids if i’m down or just out of the blue bored. The kids can teach you anything that you might have not notice and can make your whole day better than what it was. By analyzing in Early Childhood Education, it has revealed that it suits my ESFJ personality and Tactile learning style, and my learning and listening skills; however, I will have to improve on my attitude, listening, and make more time for the things that are important than rushing to be all the way career ready.…

Personal statement I have chosen to study early childhood studies, BA Hons because of the prospect of a very challenging, demanding, interesting and rewarding career it has been an interest of mine to work with children in a nursery for years. Having previously studied BTEC Health and social care with work placements in nurseries this has strengthened my ambition to study and in the future work in a career that would enable me to help and care for children. In work placements I completed in nurseries I have gained valuable experience and skills such as communication, interpersonal, listening and observational skills I had also gained an insight of early years settings and how the staff work in partnership with parents to help care for the children this had shown me the importance of communication between the staff and parents which is a key aspect. During work placements I have gained confidence as I often had to work with children in groups to enhance their holistic development my duties was to ensure I created educational activities for the children.…
The second half of my observation time was spent in a 4th grade classroom at Carver Elementary School in the Neosho R-5 school district. I was a bit leery when I first learned that I would be observing this age group, but it proved to be a wonderful, educational, and inspiring experience. From beginning to end, my time spent at Carver was nothing short of delightful. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, I learned many applicable lessons that I will be able to utilize in my own career as an educator.…
My main reason for applying for Early Childhood Education is because I love children. I love working with them. I come from a bigger family. I am the oldest out of five children. I would take care of them all from time to time when ever my parents would go out for a night. Sometimes my parents would leave overnight to go on a little vacation by themselves and I would watch my siblings overnight. I also use to babysit for other people around our community as I was growing up. As I got older and started to think about college, I knew that I wanted to attend a great school that would have a program for Education.…
There comes a time in life when you have to make a decision on what career is going to make you happy. When I was younger I had thought that being a nurse or a teacher was the path I would follow to have a career that I enjoyed. However, as I have gotten older I have realized that even though both nursing and teaching are very noble and wonderful professions, they are just not the path that I myself should take.…
It is my personal belief that the purposes of education are to enable students as fully as possible to choose and eventually realize their individual path through life as adults. I also believe in whole child education which strives to teach heart, body, and mind connection. I believe that imaginative and practical, hands-on work is the best way to promote this type of holistic learning.…
