Personal Statement For Nursing
PERSONAL STATEMENT
Nursing is a noble profession; which needs passion and empathy. Nurses bear the heavy responsibility of saving the life of people both young and old thereby saving the life of the entire generation.
When it's forced, the quality and intention of nursing is bound to suffer. One thing is certain; nurses that go into the profession for selfish reasons will find it hard to commit to their career.
Even though it is a demanding profession it can also be satisfactory. Based on my academic ability; I am 100% sure I can communicate effectively to all patients irrespective of their age and background. Having worked as a healthcare assistant for several years; I have experience the stress and strains of working in a healthcare setting.

In view of this, my ultimate desire is to be able to prolong the life of those I cannot save; save those I can and offer emotional support for the depressed. Having studied education in my first and master’s degree I have always had a genuine desire to impact knowledge; help people when they need it most and transform the generation. Also with the constant change in NHS; nurses now have great opportunities to take responsibility in patients care and become specialist in different area of nursing either as bedside nurse community nurse, tutor nurse etc. As an educationist I have always had exceptional knowledge and expertise to perform all functions in a health sector. I used them in the class room and also in the hospital when I attend to challenging patients. One great challenge in nursing is to care for different patient of different character, orientations, and different background. My degree in English education; and post graduate studies in English language teaching and applied linguistics will help me a great deal. I have worked as health care assistance for several years now; where I worked in wards and A & E and had the opportunity of looking after the elderly and …show more content…
I am a lively team player who works well with co- workers and colleagues.
I enjoyed working in an environment that was both demanding, but engaging and ultimately satisfying. Health care assistance job was something I enjoyed immensely and I found it very rewarding to help patients cope with the challenges of their illnesses. The nurses I worked under have always given me excellent feedback in the way that I was able to learn so quickly on a challenging ward. I feel that my key strength of enthusiasm, commitment, and resilience can enable to make a huge contribution to the ward and I have also acquired further invaluable experience to prepare me for my career in nursing.
Furthermore, I enjoy developing great rapport with people I help. I am a trustworthy and dependable individual who take great satisfactions in caring for people of all cultures. I am dedicated, hardworking, and able to follow up challenges in order to make them success.
Finally I am an organized and dedicated with excellent time management skills and I am now seeking an excellent career as a nurse. I am hard working and methodical in my approach to work and will be keen to learn more about
