Personal Statement: How I Will Pay For College

1) I have a couple of options regarding how I will pay for college. My family has no money saved for college and we are in debt. I have been working extremely hard in high school and I am hoping to receive grants and scholarships to attend college. If the outcome of what I have to pay is low, I will get student loans. However, if I do not get enough scholarships and grants to pay the most of my education, I will go to Montgomery College.
2) I still cannot decide between living on campus or home. I want the experience of living on campus to have fun and have access to the library quicker, but I have never been away from home. I like my bedroom and my privacy and I feel like my parents need me at home to take care of my younger brother. If
the college gives me enough money to pay for the dorm, I will get one and spend time in both my dorm and home. However, if the college does not pay for my dorm, then I will stay at home.
3) I have visited two of the three colleges I want to attend. I have visited Towson and the University of Maryland. I still need to visit the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. I love the two schools I visited completely, and I will be extremely happy if I get accepted into either. I am currently planning on making a trip to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County to see the campus. The visits were extremely important because it showed me how the campus life style was and if I felt right in the environment. I would recommended everyone to visit as many colleges as possible.
