Walden University Personal SWOT Analysis Identifying Your “Why”
Per scholars and business professionals, pursing a higher education is important to business and professional development of an individual’s lifelong goals. Thus, the reason for pursuing a doctoral degree is it will help me advance society’s efforts in the field. The degree will allow me to research questions that can resolve complicated issues in the field of study. Furthermore, Walden University’s ranking in the National Science Foundation makes it a prestigious and accredited university to conduct my doctoral studies. over the years I’ve used research to discover solutions to many of life's problems. It is my intention, with the same determination and hard work, to use my graduate research to develop groundbreaking information technology systems that can produce positive impact and changes to society by using complicated math formulas that could yield answers to difficult information technology software and processes. Thus, my participation in the DBA. program at the Walden University will give me the chance to develop and resolve business issues while researching business impacts that will be beneficial to the world.
Furthermore, the tremendous amounts of things to be discovered is “why” a doctor of business administration degree is being pursed. Embracing the opportunity as a graduate will allow me to use that opportunity to my advantage to make change in the world. The way my plans will make a positive impact on my career, my family, and my community is through my successful completion of the doctoral degree which will then allow me the opportunity to make positive changes that will impact the world. My plans will help me to advance my career, earn the respect of my family and make my community proud of my accomplishments. My long-range career objective in the field is to earn a DBA., an education from the Walden University would strategically place me in the position of leading and managing an organization while influencing competitors with the discoveries developed in the DBA. program. This requires competencies of an organization from a business administration prospective. Having the tools and knowledge to run a business top to bottom would make me the ideal candidate to lead my employees. Also, this will allow me to pursue my dreams and create a reality for millions of people who are seeking new developments in business. Since my plans is to promote the agendas of my program and work with other departments to further the overall agenda of the University, my impact will encourage other people to embark on a similar journey, thus promoting the school and increasing diversity in the student body. From experience, having plans and goals are productive ways of gaining accomplishments in my career while impacting my family and my community.
Personal SWOT Analysis Results
The results of my SWOT analysis found that there are five strenghts, seven weaknesses, two opportunties and two threats.
Strengths
Competition – being especially talented in the competition theme my progress is measured against the performance of others. My strive is to win first place and revel in contests.
Strategic - being especially talented in the strategic theme my goals are to create alternative ways to succeed. Faced with any given scenario, I’ve quickly spotted the relevant patterns and issues.
Achiever - being especially talented in the achiever theme I have a great deal of stamina and work hard. My great satisfaction comes from being busy and productive.

Positivity - being especially talented in the positivity theme I have an enthusiasm that is contagious. My upbeat attitude can get others excited about what they are going to do.
Weaknesses
Ideation - my strong existence in the ideation theme are fascinated by ideas. My ideas can help them find connections between seemingly disparate phenomena.
Restorative - my strong existence in the restorative theme makes me adept at dealing with problems. I’m good at figuring out what is wrong and resolving it.
Harmony – my strong presence in the harmony theme allow me to look for consensus. I don’t enjoy conflict; rather, I seek areas of agreement.
Relator – my strong presence in the relator theme mean I enjoy close relationships with others. I find deep satisfaction in working hard with friends to achieve goals.
Maximizer - the maximizer theme focuses on strengths as a way to stimulate personal and group excellence. The goal is to seek to transform something strong into something superb.
Developer – the developer theme recognizes and cultivates the potential in others. The process of spotting the signs of each small improvement and derive satisfaction from these improvements.
Individualization - the individualization theme make me intrigued with the unique qualities of each person. I have a gift for figuring out how people who are different can work together productively.
Opportunities
Input - the input theme creates a craving to know more. Oftentimes, I like to collect and archive all kinds of information.
Adaptability - the adaptability theme allows me to “go with the flow.” I tend to be a “now” person who takes things as it comes and discover the future one day at a time.
Threats
Empathy - the empathy theme allows for sensing the feelings of other people by imagining myself in others’ lives or others’ situations.
Responsibility - the responsibility theme allows me take psychological ownership of what I say I will do. I am committed to stable values such as honesty and loyalty.
