According to the Meyers Briggs test, my personality traits portray me as having slight preference of Extraversion over Introversion, moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing, moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking and lastly having slight preference of perceiving over judging.
Before this course, I never took any kind of personality type tests, not because I wasn’t aware of them, but because the idea of the internet analyzing a personality type for me, by merely basing the results on less than 100 questions and by coming to the conclusion through some kind of automated random answering process, falls short on being satisfactory.
Regardless of my prejudice towards these tests, I decided to take it as it was a part of our course and to my surprise, I somehow was able to relate it to my basic primitive traits, if not the complete package of personality that I am blessed with. I think with this test, the first trait can be the most accurate to test takers because, you can either divide a person into being an extravert or an introvert. There is no 3rd category. This information I am providing is based on conversations with various friends who have taken the Meyers Briggs test before and have confirmed with me that usually the first trait is the easiest one to relate too. I myself think I am an extravert person. I guess being the youngest sibling in my family brings up this trait in me. Also, since I have studied, not only in the UAE, but also my country Bangladesh, and as well as England, it made me more outgoing when it comes to dealing with people from various backgrounds. I think of myself as being the ice breaker in many scenarios and it always works provided the people I converse with accept me for who I am.
