Persuasive essay Mandaory School Uniform

Have you thought about how your family, your home, music and even television have influenced you on the way you behave or even dress? While I was in middle school it was mandatory for all students to wear uniform and I loved it, i felt welcome into the school and since every one had to wear the same thing no one was bullied and i became a straight A student sice i would only focuse in school. Then high school came along and I hated being there, since i couldnt affford all the nice clothes or shoes people had, i was bullied and the only thing that keep me motivated into going to school was that both my parents didnt finish high school and had to drop out to take care of their family. When i was bullied i would just think to myself and say i know that at the end of the day i will have the better laugh, and thats what happened. Most of the schools that require uniforms have a structure or a certain color that all students have to wear, but the one that dont require uniform uniform, majority of them hav a strict policy on the things they can wear. Now have you thought about what uniform would have done or did to you if you had or did wear uniform? When you are going to put your child into school, most parents think about the cost of school and the money they are going to waste during the school year. well, if you put your child in a school that has uniform you will not be waisting a lot of money on clothes just to make them fit in, they also wont be bullied and they have a great chance of studying better. Clothing competition is going to be eliminated, no student is going to have the urge to waste so much time in the morning just looking for clothes, to just impress other students and since they dont have to do that they will feel relieved that they dont have to fit in and they will also resist peer pressure on buying trendy clothes. of course that would be for students who's parents cant afford axpensive clothing. this will make every feel like they are equal and that they belong there and will keep all intruders out of the school. Wearing uniforms increase academic performance because students pay more attention in class than what the other student is wearing. this will eliminate havin cliques and every one will be equal and give the confidence. Also students attendance goes up, since students are focused and they are not being bullied they become more interested in school. This allows each students to get confident in themselves. Wearing uniform also controls every ones behavior problems, many of the students try to stay out of trouble, so it would encourage discipline. Having uniform will create a professional, businesslike atmosphere, which helps reinforce that students are at school to work and not to play. Just as much as there are good things for having uniforms there are also bad things to them as well. As i mentioned before many parents think that by there child wearing uniforms the schools is violating their freedom of exxpression. Of course, bullying will come a long with all of this and the bullies doesnt have to be from there own school it can be with other schools as well. Not having uniforms can also be a big problem for families that dont have money since they dont have a lot of money. Most school that dont have uniforms have very strict policy on what they have to wear. For example, in Napa, California required students to wear solid colors and they are banned to wear images or logos on their clothes. Also in Tulsa, Oklahoma, this schools doesnt allow them to wear any decorations, symbols, mottoes words that convey crude, vulgar, profane, gang-related messages, baggy clothes, holes in the clothes, visible undergarments, tights, leggings, bike shorts, swin suit or pajamas, visible percing other than the ones in the ear. Those are all things that school dont allow students to wear in school with out uniforms. Individuality is another thing that people contradict with school uniforms, majority of the people say that the best interest of the child is to try to control socialization, which is a part of human nature. they also believe that school uniform does not prepare children for the real world, in which more of the outside world will judge them on their appearance. It will also take away their comfort zone and parents say that it reduces there ability to choose their clothes and it gives their child an individual need.

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore, send the homeless tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door.” Reference? America has long been the land of freedom and hope to the world, and the American military is what has kept her that way. People have forgotten how important and valuable the military is to the world that we live in. As part of the Budget Control Act of 2011, automatic sequestration calls for $1.2 trillion in lowered federal spending, with 50% coming from defense and 50% coming from non-defense budgets. If Congress cannot reach an agreement, these cuts will reduce the Department of Defense spending by about $55 billion dollars. On September 11, 2001, the United States faced a difficult time in which 3,000 lives were lost due to an attack upon the U.S. by terrorists who hijacked airplanes and crashed them into the Twin Towers in New York City, the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and the United States Pennsylvania! That day, 9/11, has become a day in which we remember the lives that were lost and the families who were affected by such a tragedy. We called on our military once again, and they were there to protect our country. I am against automatic sequestration towards the military and military programs for many reasons.…

Online, physically, or verbally you can be a victim of being bullied. You don’t have to keep things as they are. The question is how to handle the situation (Do you attack the bully and become the bully yourself? Or do you ignore the bully and pretend all is well?) What you do is speak up and ask for help. I would know, because not only was I a victim, I was also a person who stood by and simply watched it happen.…

Persuasive Essay : Many people would be happy and satisfied if they were in a relationship with money and fame. Doesn't that seem like the perfect life? Everyone begins to think that in life that's all that matters, and that's all they need, nothing could be better. Society dictates our morals, feelings, the way we do things and try's to tell us certain things we do are wrong and we need to do them the way they feel necessary. Our generations to come will have no clue what the meaning of a true, harmonious, happy life. They begin to think that not telling the truth is ok , and eventually get so use to it that even if they could hear the truth they wouldn't want to. It becomes part of their daily life. Clearly our society, or government has their own sneaky, conniving ways to try and brain wash everyone. Due to the problem that most people would rather have love, money, and fame, it's very rare to find some one who doesn't have any of that but is satisfied with only knowing the truth. People look up to celebrities, but they do not set good examples or try to be role models. In proposing a solution to the problem of adhering to the actions of celebrities, the analysis relates to Henry David Thoreau's belief in individuality as he talked about in his book Walden. Who is your hero? Usually the answer to this question, at least for many of us, involves a famous actor or singer, a celebrity. The celebrities of the world are the wealthiest, most beautiful and most stylish individuals to walk upon the planet. These icons, however, seem to have no moral dilemma whatsoever with corrupting the public. They are role models to the public, just as parents are role models to their children. Children mirror the actions of their parents, as does society the actions of celebrities. Suddenly, few people in the world are content because they do not live the same lifestyle as Madonna or Michael Jordan. Henry David Thoreau offers solutions in his work, Walden, to the constant societal…

In times like today, people have mixed views on smoking and on the effects it has on the human body. "It's not just a game," to many athletes this statement rings true. Sports fuel the drive and determination within people, and provide them an essential learning tool from which they can grow. Competitive is defined as, "of or relating to a situation in which people or groups are trying to win a contest or be more successful than other : relating to or involving competition ."(merriam-webster.com) This concept of competitiveness is the foundation of all sports. The competitive spirit and thirst to want to better oneself in order to be at the top is a fueling force that will propel our children far beyond their years on the court. Providing children with equal playing time in youth sports discourages the necessary need for healthy competition and takes away valuable life lessons that will prepare them for the future.…
